what's up with that, follicles?

Before O, the ultrasound showed 2 maturing follicles, at 16mm and 20mm.  I hadn't yet had an LH surge, so I suppose they could have kept growing from there.

I went back 4 days later, which should have been after O (and in fact all the blood work indicated that was the case) - but I still had a 16mm.  They are calling the ultrasound "inconclusive".    

Was just curious if anyone ever experienced something similar?

    No mention of a corpus leautem.  I had to just google that and now I am kind of annoyed that they didn't check for this.

    I think @iputketchuponketchup hit the nail on the head. If it was still at 16mm 4 days later then it stopped maturing in favor of the larger follie. A trigger shot may have trigger both to go through final maturation and release, so that makes sense for next time. :)
