Will stretch marks fade?

Somehow I was lucky enough to escape getting any stretch marks my first pregnancy. This time...not so much. I think my body is making up for last time! I know it's just a part of being pregnant, but its still hard to look at. Will they fade over time?

Re: Will stretch marks fade?

  • They get silvery depending on your skin tone, and if you tighten your tummy back up they'll be less noticeable, but no, they don't fade away.

  • They fade, meaning they will much closer to your skin tone and no longer red. They will still be visible but not nearly as much!
    DD#1 (6), DD#2 (4), DD#3 (0)
  • Usually the red goes away they are still dis colored but not so bright with DD I got a few very low under my belly button this time around the old ones seemed to have re stretched and multiplied up to right above the belly button. DD is 5 now and my originals are barely noticeable. Wear them proud.
  • They will never go away but eventually the color will be very similar to your natural skin tone so they won't be as noticeable.
  • Within a couple of years, the color of your stretch marks will be only a shade or so off from your skin tone and within ten years, you'll only be able to feel the smaller ones and the bigger ones will be the same color as the rest of your skin (if you're anything like me).
  • The color does eventually fade for the most part, but the actual mark will remain. Mine become more noticeable after a shower or swimming.
