In honor of Parker's aunt and my great aunt! Parker's mom and grandmother are both survivors of breast cancer!
Edit to add tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of my mil death. She was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away 5 months later. She was an amazing woman and I am so sad I did not get to see her as a grandmother.
In honor of my Grammie who was a breast cancer survivor for 10 years before passing away due to the cancer returning in 1998. Also in honor of my MIL and aunt who are both survivors.
ETA: apparently yesterday I thought I was a week ahead of where I really am. Sheesh!
I love this idea! My husband's grandma is a breast cancer survivor as well as my friend's mom.
34w 4d - no face today, I'm puffy
34w 2 days.
I'm wearing a pink scarf. I think I actually bought that a year ago towards Breast cancer research.
This is in honor of my great aunt who died from breast cancer many years ago; Bobbie Beth, one of the biggest leaders in the deaf community I belong to and highly admire, she's in remission. She has moved to another state since then but since she's deaf, she feels she gets better service from the hospitals in my town (more deaf friendly and better equipment) I just bumped into her recently while she was in town for her check up appointments to ensure she's still in remission. She was raving about a new type of equipment that can check for tumors rather than the compression machine. (The name escapes me).
; Annette, a friend of mine and is in remission I believe, she works incredibly hard forming and running a foundation/support group dedicated to deaf women and men who has/had breast cancer.
; one of my best friend's sister. She's only 31 when she was diagnosed. Has a very young son. I believe she is in remission after a double mascecomty.
Breast Cancer can strike at any age.
I'm pretty sure I'm leaving out few others but they are always in my heart.
Forgive the mess behind me. My best friend were visiting so I pulled out my old crib mattress for DD to sleep on while bestie sleeps in DD's room. Crib mattresses after being done with babies are great for sleepovers!! (Tip)
