AW: Announcement photos!!

I'm so excited! We are doing our announcement photos this Sunday morning

my best friend is a photographer (trying to start her own business) so she takes every opportunity she can get to take pictures and Im happy to be her subject!

Anyone else doing announcement photos to share with family and friends?

We are going back and forth about it. My husband's cousin is a pretty established photographer in this area and she normally does our family portraits around this time.

We just set a self timer on the camera and took them ourselves. Came out awesome.

I scheduled us for some family photos in mid November before I even found out we were pregnant, so I am debating adding an announcement type pose while we're taking those. Just now sure if we can hold out that long before announcing!

I did mine way back right after my BFP. The shoot was how I told DH we were expecting a second.

I putting together a book of DS dressed up as different things and calling it what I want to be when I grow up...the last spread will be of him saying he is just going to take his promotion to big brother...I'll do all the shots myself...hope the gparents like it.

I thought I couldn't hold out on telling people either, but what do you know, we're having pictures this weekend and we've only told our parents. We've known for about 6 weeks now and I had the pictures scheduled before we got pregnant so we're only going to add 1 or 2 announcement type poses and do the rest like we had planned with us and our dogs.

We hope to send something out with our Christmas cards. I'm not sure what it will say yet - but I will do it myself.

I'm hoping we can wait that long as well. We will tell our family at Thanksgiving and the rest will arrive in the mail on Black Friday. 17 weeks.

We will see....

We aren't going to announce officially until Halloween (week12) or Nov. 6/7th (week 13) BUT over last weekend, my parents had a 30th birthday (fiesta theme) for me and instead of hiding it from immediate family and close friends, I made shirts to share the news! My shirt read "Eating Tacos for Two" and his read "She's Eating for Two, I'm Drinking Tequila for Three!" They were a huge hit!! I loved watching everyone catch on at random times!
