I've seen a few people talk about giving their babes Benadryl. What kind do you use?! Do they make an infant Benadryl? I've gone to two pharmacies today and both only carried children's Benadryl (ages 2 and up). What do you use?
Our pedi recommended the Childrens Benedryl 2.5 mL when LO was exhibiting some allergy type symptoms. I don't think they make an infant Benedryl. It seemed to be helpful.
Same. I felt like it dried Mara's nose up more than just Claritin or Zyrtec. She still takes Zyrtec once a day but if it gets really bad I'll give her some Benadryl.
Same. You can call your pedi's office for dosing info too.

M had hives for a few days once (still not sure from what) and my dr said Benadryl. I had DH go get it while I was at work. When I got home I freaked out that he gave her Children's B and not Infant's B. Turns out there is no Infant's B. So, yup.
Thanks everyone! I called the on-call nurse and gave him half of the 2.5 ml dose. It turns out that he's one of those babies who gets really cranky with Benadryl, but at least his nose was dry.
DS had an acute allergy attack when we went to visit IL's and I'm so thankful we had Benadryl on hand. His whole face was swollen and he was screaming in pain. I dosed him right before we jumped in the car to rush him to the ER. I thought he was going to stop breathing. Scariest thing ever.
