Cheese please

I think we've talked about feeding LO's yogurt around here but what about cheese? Has anyone given cheese yet? If so, what kind and how? We just started yogurt yesterday and she wasn't keen on it alone but with fruit was fine. Now wonder how to introduce cheese.

She's had some little pieces of mozzarella on its own (pieces she can pick up with her pincer grasp, cut thinly) as well as melted on top of some homemade baby meatballs for dinner. She LOVES it. Like, goes nuts for it! Planning on getting her some cheddar to try once I get to the grocery store. As long as your baby can mash the piece with her gums, she should be good. I've read you can give cheddar, mozzarella, colby and cottage cheese but avoid soft cheese like bleu and brie.

I give her cheese all the time - sharp cheese cut into little chunks and American cheese (like the kind on sandwiches) just in slices. She also gets parmigiana cheese on spaghetti.

Logan LOVES cheese. It's one of his favorites right now. I get good string cheese and cut it up into little chunks for him. He goes nuts over it. String cheese is kind of hard so I just let it sit out for a few minutes and it gets really soft the warmer it gets. He'll also eat American sliced cheese.

I give them little chunks of whatever cheese we have on hand so they've had cheddar, Colby, mozzarella, Gouda and probably others. They absolutely love it and have never had a problem picking it up or eating it. I think I tried it for the first time around 8 months.

I am a cheese freak as I am from WI. We actually haven't given DS cheese yet but did with yogurt. I want to try this weekend with cheese. Interesting what others have to say about what kind.
