Re: WTF Wednesday

  • WTF... to the $300 Comcast bill I received yesterday. I knew with all the screw ups they did last last month I'd have a totally jacked bill. I've never seen a more confusing bill in  my life! It may almost be worth paying so I don't have to sit on the phone for 2 hours and deal with their terrible customer service. I.Hate.Comcast.

  • @mmmKay   Do you have a local office that you can physically walk into?  I have found with all my dealings with Comcast, they are the best people to fix the bill.  Everytime I called when the jacked up my bill, it was worse the next month.  I walked into the store at the mall and it was fixed and fixed correctly.

WTF me?  I have a dentist appointment to have a crown put on this morning and I'm absolutely terrified.  I think a Xanax might be in my near future.

  • @kushie77 I do and that's probably what I'll do. I've had some major problems with them the past few months and had only dealt with them on the phone. I finally said fuck it, and took all of my equipment to the store so I could return it and be done with them. The girl was SO nice and said she was taking care of everything so we could get the service that we wanted, without the extra fees. So I'll just go back and talk to her. But I'm still dreading it lol.

  • @shafwilson We were at dinner a few months ago with the in laws when they ran into some friends.  The friends asked when they were going to have grandkids and looked over at me and my husband.  First of all, like grandparents have any control over their child's reproductive schedule, and second of all I'm just trying to eat my fajitas and drink my margarita so step off!

I think infertility insensitivity should be a valid excuse for throat punches.

  • @lemonliz I've definitely considered that approach with some people, but I just can't at work.  I work in a big place, but I have a pretty visible position and the gossip mill is insane.  Within a day it would be all over the place, and I just can't handle that.  Unfortunately, I don't even trust my boss to keep it confidential so I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to handle putting in leave requests for my surgery the (hopefully, eventually) monitoring appointments.

@rainbowbridge14 (HUGS) to you!  I don't think there's anything wrong with a pity party, as long as it comes with wine!

My jaw dropped when I read this. (((HUGS))) I would have eviscerated that person. I don't normally say anything to the usual ignorant, albeit well-meaning comment here and there, but that's too far. I'm selfish because I don't have kids yet? Who the fuck says that? Nosy bitch. • @shafwilson - I'm going to go TP that co-worker for you. K? K.

WTF Ganirelix - This is my first cycle taking it so I don't know if it's that, or if I'm coming down with something, but last night I got off work, did some errands, all of a sudden had HORRIBLE stomach pains. Went home to eat, and I passed out twice. I still feel super crappy and I just took my 2nd shot. If I get sick again today, I think I'm going to take myself in. Could've just been a fluke where I had low bs or something from not eating for a while, but I haven't had that happen in so long. I was totally freaking out taking the shot again today. We shall see.

  • *PG & Loss Mentioned*

My MIL - Let me give you some back story... When I got KU last spring, we told our parents a week before it started heading south.  We told MIL not to tell anyone about our pg, we wanted to tell our own news when we were ready.  Long story short - she not only told me sister-in-law, but also random people that came into their business.  Since then, we have kept her out of the loop with anything that has to do with IF.

We found out last Thursday that our IUI would be Friday (3 hours away) .  DH and his parents work together.  We told them we had a Dr. appt that both of us had to be at.  She asked me if it was good news.  I said no.

When DH talked to his mom on Friday she asked how her grandbaby was!!!! WTF who does that?

She can be so insensitive when it comes to this sh*t.  It's just another reason we will continue to keep her in the dark with everything..

Sorry - just had to vent and don't like doing it to DH

  • @shafwilson Wow, you have more self-control than me! I would've given some snarky comment like, "I'll stop being selfish as soon as you stop being a jackass by talking like this to a woman with fertility issues. I'm gonna nominate you for employee of the month, good job, lady!"
  • Ooh ooh I have one.

Yesterday morning I had a car service pick me up in Brooklyn at my home to go to manhattan. I called the one I always use to save the company money. Never had any problems.

So we cruised towards the battery tunnel and he goes oh no I don't have my EZpass. We are stuck in the EZpass lane though and no way out. A cop (battery tunnel is HEAVILY policed esp. At 6:30am) and the driver starts blaming ME for not telling the dispatcher that we would be needing an EZpass!! Wtf! Anyway he gets a ticket and 3 points taken off which admittedly sucks. But he continued to moan to me about how I should have mentioned it. What kind of car taxi driver (mind you this was not NyCtaxi but Arecibo - a well respected albeit Brooklyn run car service) doesn't have an EZpass?! And then the second wave of cops is pulling us over at the gate yelling at the poor man. "You could get a summons!" I'm like should ing from the backseat at the cop "he just did get a summons!" Argh

So the guy keeps moaning blaming it in me. Ridiculous.

Since I could expense it for work I have him an extra $40 bucks for the trouble but really. Not a nice way to start a crazy day for work. I should mention that I am a conference planner and I was in route to my conference at the NYSE which I had to get to. I did get there on time and all was well. I just wish the driver had his shit together.

July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!
  • @radiantly How did the guy not knowing ahead of time that he'd be going on an EZPass road have any relationship for him choosing to get in the EZPass lane when he didn't have his EZPass with him? You were too kind. :)
