DD is 3w. In the hospital the LC noticed my one breast was cracked and the other was pretty banged up too. The following week the crack ended up bleeding one day but started to get better. I then began to have pain in the breasts all the time, even when not nursing. DD wasn't gaining weight and had a diaper rash. Saw the LC again last Wednesday who said we both has yeast/thrush. We started medications Wednesday night. She said it would get worse before getting better. Now I get the pain in the other breast after nursing, so I was coughing that up to being worse. Anyone have any experiences? I figured we'd be nursing pain free now at 6 days with meds. It's making me want to throw in the towel
About to be 2 under 2 up in here!

Re: Thrush/yeast help
A very long time to fully eliminate .You can beat it though ! Don't give up
what helped when I had it was letting my nipples air out as much as possible to limit the moisture on them, I basically was shirtless/braless as much as possible , and by rinsing them with water/ vinegar immediately after each feed and patting them dry .
Good luck ! Hope you start feeling better soon!
Lo started meds on Saturday and it is now starting to look better. I got my meds on Monday and even with doing vinager since Friday night mine is looking/feeling worse now. I am really hoping to is the "worse " before the better.
I really hand it to women who exclusively pump. I feel like between pumping, then feeding, then baby medicine, then changing I can't do anything else all day!
Yesterday I almost broke down and considered stopping bf. But I had to make myself realize that this will be done soon. This is not how it is going to be forever!!!!
Thrush is painful but it does get better. Hang in there! You're doing great.
