5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I had a veggie burrito, horchata, and champagne as my first meal. I was very specific to MIL about how it needed to be cooked. It was glorious. I've never had a better burrito.
Me: 30 | DH: 4/12/85 - 6/16/14 | Quinn Patrick born 9/28/14
I got a turkey sandwich from the hospital as soon as I was allowed to eat. And then someone brought me a meatball sub about an hour after that. It was amazing.

I want all the turkey. I've avoided lunch meat this whole pregnancy, and I love nothing more than a cold deli-style turkey and roast beef sandwich. The hospital luckily makes one, so I'll be having that. Maybe two. And cheese cake.

I've not so jokingly told H that we are making a to go order from our favorite sushi restaurant on the ride home from the hospital. I'll stay in the car with the baby while he runs in to pick it up.

Roast beef & provolone sub with tomato, mayo, vinegar, salt pepper & oregano with either a coke or snapple raspberry iced tea
Me: 33 - PCOS & Hypothyroidism
DH: 35 - SA is good
Married since 2010 (together since 2006)
TTC since June 2009 (we knew we would have issues and wanted family right away after we got married).
No pregnancies yet.
May 2013 - started first round of Chlomid & ovidrel cycle.
I want pancakes. Originally I wanted a pork burrito, but I had it during my pregnancy and it stopped sounding awesome. So now I just want the worlds largest plate of pancakes.
Sushi and a large glass of chardonnay. There is a great sushi place around the corner from our house, which also happens to be 5 minutes from the hospitol. I may save this for once we are home however.
I know I'm really going to want the biggest iced coffee ever and broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl from panera bread washed down with a diet coke but I don't live near panera so I'm just day dreaming. Just thinking about it being AFTER delivering a baby is the best part. I'm afraid.
With both of my boys, i had frosted flakes..they were both born in the morning so breakfast it was.. my husband ate everything else I dont really have anything that I must have the minute shes born
My hospitol has a huge menu I can order from and from what I hear the good is actually really good. DH is under strict orders to have someone bring me a salted caramel frappuccino from Starbucks.
After my first I was TERRIFIED of the first pp poop! So I had fish, steamed veggies, and washed it down with prune juice. LOL. Not a very exciting meal...
Not sure about this time. I am looking forward to having real sushi again, so I'll probably have some soon after the birth!
My very first meal was in the delivery room. Lol DS was born when they were serving breakfast so they brought me some yucky hospital eggs, pancakes, and a muffin. But I was really just very thirsty so I asked for all the juice. :P
We've been eating dinners that were brought to us by very kind friends so far, but I'm looking forward to the steaks DH and BIL went out and bought for us to celebrate. Not something taboo during pregnancy. Just yummy.
I was not that hungry after my emergency csection. The next morning my mom brought me donuts and the biggest white mocha ever. Then I felt sick so I learned my lesson there....
If I end up having a c/s, it's required to have liquids for a full day (broth, juice, water). Which is a major suck.
BUT my first real meal will likely be something from the Cheesecake Factory or Red Robin, depending on my mood, because my hospital is basically across the street from the mall. This almost makes me excited for labor.
I'm having crunchy shrimp and shrimp tempura rolls regardless of the time of day. If it looks like I'll be delivering overnight, I'll have someone pick it up before the restaurant closes. It's about 4 minutes from the hospital.
Otherwise, I'm actually looking forward to the hospital food. From smoothies to steak to pasta.. and I keep hearing that everything is cooked-to-order and delicious.

I can't wait to meet my Kenyan-Bajan-American sweet pea.
I have 7 bottles of different pumpkin ales I bought from this craft beer shop, because I wanted to be sure to get them before they went off the shelves! I will slowly add alcohol back into my life ;-)
A guilt-free deli sandwich is what I want, but really I will just have whatever I'm in the mood for at the time. Honestly, I already have some fall beers ready for when I get home. :-)
I haven't been denying myself anything (don't like sushi and not a big drinker!) so I don't think my first meal after delivery will be anything special. There is a great place across the street from the hospital called The Brunch Cafe and since it isn't really close to home we never go, maybe I will ask DH to pick me up something from there. But my hospital has really good food so I'm sure that will be enough!
I am planning on pizza and a big chocolate shake since I have GD, I haven't been able to have any pizza. BUT sushi does sound AMAZING!! Maybe that's what I'll have on day 2!! OH I am so ready to eat!! I'm fairly certain I'm going to gain more AFTER baby! LOL...We'll see!
Right now I could go for a JJs roast beef sub with a rogue saint red ale or a dirty vodka martini...but that won't happen. Probably just a non heated sub will do fine for the time being.
But after talking to my sister who is a nurse said what the nurses don't know won't kill them. Who knows my smart ass sister might just bring me those things considering she had sushi and a bottle of vodka sitting on the food table at my baby shower.
I had french toast, sausage, coffee, and fruit after my first (he was born at 8 am) and I was so hungry that I wouldn't have noticed if something was wrong with it.
Not sure yet what I'll want or get with this one. I'll just be happy to eat a meal! I probably will ask my mom or DH to go to Caribou and get me the biggest pumpkin spice ginger latte that they sell, though (and Caribou is across the street from the hospital so it shouldn't be an impossible request!).
Re: Whats your first post pregnancy actual meal?
If it's the middle of the night, Wendy's since it will be open, and a huge piece of caramel apple pie (being brought by MIL).
I know there will be champagne too, but who knows if I'll be ready to drink it. Right now I want ALL the champagne, but who knows then....

My first meal after being discharged was chicken strips, fries and a rootbeer from A&W.
Then I want a huge Greek salad with tons of feta.
