Jadzia has decided to be even more picky than her sister when it comes to eating. Stubborn little thing wont even try new things. Currently she eats pouches, veggie cheese puffs, club crackers, gerber cereal bars, and yogurt melts. I can sometimes get her to eat a few bites of toast. Anything new I offer is either ignored ot immediately tossed on the floor. No tasting no investigating right to the floor. She flails and shakes her head at attempts to spoon feed her. Nikita was in daycare by now so I am sure that helped her eating habits. I just dont know what to try next to get her to eat more/better. Any tips or tricks?

Looking for ideas to get my stubborn picky eater to eat better.
Re: Food/feeding suggestions
We tried the veggie muffins. No go.
But he will eat corn kernels and corn bread. (Sometimes).

This sounds exactly like my DS. I gave him pouches until he was 2 1/2 because he just would not eat any fruit except banana and would not touch a veg. When DD started on pouches, he stopped eating them saying they are baby food. I just wanted to get fruit and veg into him.
I feel your frustration because he also not even try new things. He also only wanted crackers. Even now his diet is a lot of grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and pizza. It took a lot of time, but I finally got him to eat an apple, meatballs, and spaghetti. It took a long time of offering to get him to eat the few things he does now. He still will not try stuff based on looks, but we have gotten him to try a bite of steak, a bite of burger with some coaxing. He still will not try any chicken unless it is chicken fingers.
Do you eat with her? If not, maybe start there. This and starting table food late are the mistakes I think I made with DS. My DH gets home late so I would feed DS and then eat with DH. I was also very lax with advancing to table foods because the gagging scared me and I was so afraid of choking. I decided with DD I was going to do everything opposite. By 9 months she was on all table foods and no more pouches. I now cook dinner and eat with the kids and save dinner on the stove for when DH comes home. DD eats just about everything and will try new things.
Sometimes I walk around the grocery store picking things up and seeing how Luke reacts to the package. If he pushes it away we move on. If he gets really excited, we sometimes open it right there in the aisle for him to try so he associates the actual food with the package he liked.
And relax. It really, really will be ok.
