I was wondering what everyone's options on rockers/gliders are. What are some features that you have that you loved/didn't like/wish you had. Is one better than the other in terms of rocker vs. glider. I start looking but have no idea what I should really be looking for. Thank you in advance!

Re: Question about Rockers/Gliders
So when toy find one you like, and are planning to buy, I'd suggest sitting for 30mins or more.
@chaysefaith Do you know which brand you got? (Or where it was from)
And where are good places to try out various chairs?

I also agree with PPs on sitting in it for a while! I changed my mind on a couple after a good, long sit. Just do what I did, pack some snacks and hang out for a bit
One last thing, I read a handful of reviews online about less expensive gliders undersides being made of plastic and breaking as a result. I opted for one with no plastic, all wood after considering SO's track record of breaking furniture.
Did you or anyone else find one that you liked that was on the lower price end like maybe under 300$ or is that an unreasonable expectation? Lol I have never bought one so I have no clue on the prices of them. Didn't know if maybe the 650$ was the upgraded super dooper great model or if that was about average? Lol

Oh man, some of them are. Lol.
I didn't even mention the amount of toilet seats that have been broken either. I don't understand how it's possible! It's like he sits down with something to prove.

Space is an issue for me too. Choosing the right chair will be tough for me.

It's super comfy, much smaller than a lazy boy, and only cost $285. DD is 18 mos and we still rock her to sleep in it every night. So satisfied! And I like the fact that when were done with using it for babies it can go in our living room or basement man cave.
ETA - I found it, here's a link. It's now $299 (we must have got it on sale)

They only have burgundy, taupe, and chocolate. We had espresso furniture and light walls so the chocolate was perfect.

The ones I really like from an aesthetic point of view are spend - and honestly, not that comfortable. Some of them don't fit my long legs very well, either. We've tried quite a few, and they're just ok. If I'm spending more than $500, I want it to feel like heaven
FTM here so thanks to everyone for the info you've shared. I had been wondering whether I really need to buy a rocker/glider. I have a chair that swivels left to right, but doesn't rock, that I planned on moving into the nursery. Does anyone think this could work or is the gliding/rocking motion really important? Money is tight so I was hoping not to have to buy one...TIA!
I was sold on the PBK wingback rocker but now I'm worried it might not move as well as a glider but that's the look I want.
