I think we could lose rules for flagging and post your sex. The latter because over half of it is people guessing not actually posting the sex of their baby.

I think if you get rid of the sex thread, you will end up with more SS threads about sex.

Personally I have been looking forward to posting in it, and I have to wait 2.5 more weeks. I'll be 18 weeks then, so another ~3 weeks after that, most of the regs will have had their chance to post. After that, And the blog has been updated, I'm all for losing that sticky.

Edit: time frames were a bit off.

I agree with the flagging and sex vs gender. I would say get rid of the sex thread but then we will have a million ss posts. The sex vs gender is a great post but I don't think it's getting to its target audience. Could we combine the new click here posts?

I think these two can go:

- The sex versus gender, because the people who need to read it don't or don't care and start their own guess my baby's gender threads anyway.

- The Newbies thread because again, they aren't reading and/or taking it to heart anyway.

I don't think we should get rid of the sex one! But I do agree it should be cleared and started over..is there anyway to delete the ones that aren't relevant? Like, to make sure it is only the announcements and congrats? Because I'd really like to be able to post what I'm having without having to put it in UO

I also really enjoy seeing what the other ladies are having as well!

How about combining newbie and sex threads? It could be for "please add my info to the blog". At this point some newbies have to post into two threads which makes little sense.

Sorry, I was saying that my opinion on where sex announcements go is a UO. I think they should be SS threads. A reg gets congrats a drive by gets ignored but NOT flamed.

So here's my plan for tonight, if everyone is in favor:

-Newbie and new here thread get combined

-Flag guidelines get deleted

-Sex vs. Gender gets added to the blog

-Sex announcement thread either stays or everyone agrees that announcements can be SS.

Things are being removed. I'm done making changes for tonight, the sex thread is until I can update the blog/more opinions are made on whether it stays or goes.

No worries, @jessuhmarie‌. It's not going anywhere soon. I would have to at least update the blog before it got unannounced but I was also waiting for more opinions on whether it stays or goes.

I also check the sex thread regularly. I agree that I think it helps keep the board organized a little better. And a lot of people post the sex in the random thread as well, so it usually gets seen.

LOL yes I actually thought of that while typing it ;-) The problem was my brain cells seem to have all gone to the baby and finding other words that fit were hard and I only thought about it for .2 seconds

@chaysefaith‌ - I also love the Sex thread - I throw love tits to everyone that posts there. I don't think I would read every single SS post. Maybe it can be the Sex & Name thread? I agree with a PP that suggested changing it to a birth announcement thread in a few months.

I vote get rid of them all; I'm always mobile bumping and I HATE that when you leave a post it takes you back to the top instead of where you left off, less scrolling=better. Plus they don't seem to deter the newbz/trolls from posting their inane b/s

I was thinking I could maybe add a tag for you and myself offering to add due dates to the calendar if someone still wants to be added. That's up to you though, I hope that would cut down on all the requests but it could also fill your inbox.
