XP: need gift idea: 3 yr old girl, fun for dad

So my brave friend is planning a b-day party for her 3 year old (to be) while my friend is expecting #2 within the same time frame of the planned party. So I thought I would be fun to buy a toy for her daughter that would be a good father/daughter activity. Any suggestions? Budget $50.

I can't think of anything specific that would involve multiple people and although I spent a lot of time with my dad at 3 (my mom was in school and working full time) nothing that jumps out as specifically "daddy daughter." I also can't think of anything my 3 year old son has/does that is specifically "daddy/son" unless you count the new guitar he got for his birthday since my husband also plays guitar.
I mean, you could get her a giant playdough set, which becomes a daddy/daughter activity if he does it with her.
