This morning I arrived at my ultrasound appointment at the hospital at 7 AM and was sitting in the waiting room eating my breakfast. A few minutes later I hear a sort of scream outside the door then it flies open and in stumbles a very pregnant woman, her female companion and a nurse who starts yelling to call for an OB. Then the pregnant woman screams again as they get her into the waiting room and the nurse says "oh my god, you're bleeding", then suddenly the woman squats down and out pops her baby onto the floor!!!! I was now very awake and holding the door for the other nurses/techs/whoever to get into the room to clean up the woman and the baby and get her on a stretcher. They called a code and within a minute there were at least 20 people in the room and a transport incubator for the baby. They moved her up to L&D or maternity I presume, then they had to call the poor maintenance guy to clean up her mess on the floor. Definitely a quick delivery! Oh, and it was a boy!
