So I sinned. I had to buy pants for Aaron and kate and new PJs too. I used Gymbucks but still spent $50. I could have spent less.
Then I bought Aaron Robeez. he only has one pair of shoes so he needed one and i got on ebay for $10 so that was a good deal but I still am kinda upset with myself.
I need to buy myself jeans. I only have one pair that fit and I need new shoes. Luckily I have a gift card i can use.
We ended up buying food a couple times this weekend. One was unnecessary completely. The other was pizza we ordered at 9pm after dh's uncle got in and had been talking for about 5 hours. We needed food at that point. But still felt bad about it. I went to target last week as well. But only got stuff we needed.
We have a few planned expenses this month but I'd still like to keep track of them closely. We have both girls' birthdays in November, I'm supposed to go clothes shopping for myself, and DH has heart set on a mini vacation.
Meal planning is really working out for us. It helps me stick to my grocery list and spend way less. Also, we waste very little food this way.
We were doing pretty well. But then our cat (who is diabetic) had a seizure. So we took him to the vet. $200 later, everything is ok. we just lowered his insulin dose now. But otherwise we did pretty good! Stayed on budget, and we are going to lower our budget. Right now we use around $400 a week for groceries, gas, anything other than bills basically. We are going to lower it to $300. So hopefully that helps!
