I love being tan, but I would not at all get in a tanning bed while pregnant. My assumption is if hot tubs and long hot baths are not recommended, it would be the same for tanning since you do heat up not to mention the dangerous increase in skin cancer. Not worth it in my book even if for vanity purposes I feel like I look better with a tan.
I did do some laying on the beach slathered in sun block while on vacation last month, but I cut that down to half the time I would normally spend working on my tan.

I now stay out of the sun at all costs.
If anyone ever sees me tan, it's a fake bake (spray tan).
I would not even consider that while pregnant because of chemicals let alone a tanning bed! [-(
I second the new makeup idea. You might be surprised how nice your basic skin tone looks with your eyes and hair.
My H has asked me not to get spray tanned. He thinks it's bad for you because you end up inhaling the chemicals. Thoughts? Someone want to put it in the google machine for me? My google finger is tired.
Also, when not pregnant, tanning is your choice. I read that when you are pregnant skin is more sensitive to burning and also it inhibits absorption of folic acid, which i hope you know is essential for your baby's development. So no tanning while pregnant
