What to give someone on bed rest

I was on hospital bed rest with DD for two weeks, so you'd think I would know but I'm kind of drawing a blank.  One of the mom's at daycare is has been put on bed rest for 2 weeks and maybe longer depending on what happens.  She's only 13 or so weeks along.  :(  She has two lo's already and they are pretty young.  I'm going to make a dinner to take over to her and thought I would see if she wanted to read any books that I have.  Is there anything I could get for her aside from magazines?  I was just so bored on bed rest that I didn't want to do anything.  I stared at the wall a lot.  :)

    Do they have Netflix? If not get them a month. Card/board games she could sit and play with the kids maybe.

    This is a great idea!  Maybe I could see if some other moms would want to go in together so we could get a few sessions for her.

    Something that helps her and her DH take care of the household- a gift certificate for grocery delivery service, cleaning, etc.

    If she has other kids, I'd offer to take them for a day or for a few hours. Also, meals or cleaning help.

    I gave my SIL a fun package of presents to open on different days. I wrapped them individually and labeled Mon-Fri so that she would have something fun to look forward to. It was silly little fun presents, like a new hairbrush and headbands, snacks, crossword/puzzle books, magazines, a dvd, lotion, stuff like that.

    These are all great ideas!  I would defintely ask about the house cleaning first.  I would also feel awkward having someone come clean while I just laid there.
