***Making A Home Monday***

Do you have things you do on certain days in your home? Do you wing it? Maybe both?

I am so OCD. I do laundry on Mondays, get groceries on Tuesdays, I clean and have cheer for DD on Wednesdays, DH is home on Thursdays so I try to as much spend time with him as I can, I help at DD's school and have lunch with her on Fridays and I also do more laundry, Saturdays change constantly and DH and I try to do a date night and Sundays are time to relax, have Sunday dinner and family game night. It's also football time! If you read my crazy ass, detailed, super OCD weekly schedule, haha! It does change but I like to have a schedule. I'm just a little crazy...... okay, maybe a lot.....

  • We do try to keep a schedule for laundry, because we only do it once a week so it'll get too piled up if we don't keep it on a schedule. Everything else, nope.

  • No schedule over here. Dishes get done every day. Or at least almost every day. And the living room usually gets picked up in the evenings. But other than that, no. Usually I clean well if we're going to have company, LOL. I try to invite people over often to give myself motivational keep the house clean.

  • I keep telling myself I need a schedule for household stuff.  Right now, I sort of wing it.  Laundry is an every day thing around here, otherwise it just piles up and becomes overwhelming.  I do clean my kitchen every day (usually twice), bathrooms get wiped down almost daily, and I like to keep everything picked up, especially before bed.  I'm weird about coming home to a messy house, so I make sure everything is put away/picked up before we leave.
Anyway... I think I am really going to work on a schedule for other things like dusting and mopping.  Those are things I don't do every day, and I'll forget about it until it's like "Oh, gross, I should probably clean that".

  • I wish I would keep a schedule. It would be really hard with my schedule though. I work every other weekend and couple night shifts middle of the week. Maybe we should try it out though...might help with the anxiety I get over a messy house.

  • We try, but it never works out. Just like trying to plan our dinners. It never sounds good by the time that day rolls around. DH is so great about laundry and dishes, because I hate them. I tend to do more in depth cleaning, and vacuuming. I love vacuuming. Only bad thing is all the shit has to be picked up off the floor to vacuum. :(

  • I need a schedule like that. My house is terrible right now!! I did manage to clean the kitchen while DS was doing his homework. But then he was back to his destructo-preschooler schedule. He's searching for a box of toys to dump right now but I do not care because I'm tired and need a minute to decompress!!!
  • No schedule here. My work schedule varies so much from week to week it is impossible to keep a schedule. Things get done on whatever days I have off.

  • I don't have a fixed schedule per se. Laundry was done almost every day when LO wore cloth diapers. I don't work on Fridays so that's when I do food shopping. I also cook and freeze at least one meal on Sunday.

One thing that happens every Friday is we have Shabbat dinner in the dining room, using a tablecloth and the special china. The meal may not be elaborate but we always light candles and say blessings. I even take candles and candlesticks on vacation with us so we celebrate Shabbat no matter where we are.

  • Laundry as needed - pretty much every other day.  I do a lot of cooking on Sunday for the week to avoid the stress of making dinner on the days I work.  I could really use a schedule for cleaning.  The only thing that is done at least once a week is sweeping/vacuuming because DD makes a mess - there are Cheerios everywhere...

  • No schedule here either. DH & I are both consultants and could work 40 hours one week and 70 the next. It varies so much depending on random issues that come up. The only thing that gets done regularly is dishes and laundry. And that is all the time, not on set days.
