Completely Wiped!

I am either exhausted or nauseous all day long, or both! Makes me not want to do anything! Plus I have a 3.5 and 1.5 year old! Anyone have any tips for keeping energy up?

Re: Completely Wiped!

  • If I don't stay busy I'll lay around all day. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear. Oh and make sure you are getting plenty of protein.

  • I feel the same way and always battling my fatigue. I run a restaurant where I have to always be on alert and constantly moving. Besides my prenatal vitamins, I take B12 sublingual tabs and start my day off with oatmeal. I also drink fresh juice throughout the day - beets to get the blood flowing, ginger and celery for digestion, parsley for the immune system and cucumbers for hydration and a quick pick-me-up. If you don't have a juicer or a juicery near by, Evolution is a great trusted organic brand of bottled juice. That's what fresh veggies/fruit are for - natural fuel - use them to your benefit.
  • I feel exactly the same. Last week i was feeling great, then on Friday it felt like i hit a wall. No energy mental or physical. I've actually taken the day off work as I'm just useless at the moment. Going to sleep the day away!!
  • No advice, just commiseration. I only have 1, but he sleeps very poorly at night. I'm running on fumes at this point! As everything else...this is a phase that will pass...

  • I almost posted this exact same thing like 5 times this weekend.  I have an almost 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old and it's EXHAUSTING!!!!  I agree with previous posters' comment about keeping busy....easier said than done for sure, but I do find that just taking the kids to the play area at the mall even helps keep me energized.  If I sit down on the couch for more than 5 minutes, that's it...my day is toast!  That being said at least 8 out of the last 10 days were toast and I can't remember the last time I made something more complex than mac and cheese for dinner! Ooooh and I found out at my ultrasound yesterday that I may have had a really bizarre cycle and may only be 6 1/2 weeks along instead of 8...so that means 1 1/2 more weeks of this exhaustion/nausea than I thought! Baaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
