My turn to AW it up

We had our first appointment this morning. We waited at the MFM for what seemed like an eternity. We went back for an u/s and I was surprised when she pulled out a regular wand. She couldn't see much (duh) and it looked pretty empty in there. DH and I panicked a little as I got situated for the dildocam.
She reminded me that my ute is tiled the backwards instead of forward and measured my ovary, she couldn't find the left one and eventually gave up on it. Then we moved onto pics of the yolk sac. And inside was the most beautiful little flicker of a heartbeat. Baby is itty bitty and measuring at 6 weeks like we thought. Heartbeat was 129! We both cried as we watched and exhaled for the first time all morning.
We then saw 5 more people and then finally my dr. He was so kind and so happy to see us. He did my postpartum care after I delivered and is a wonderful man. He said I'm going to be very closely watched and see a whole lot of them. At 8 weeks we will go back for another appt with him and bloodwork. Then a few weeks after that we have another u/s. it sounds like he would like to do genetic testing to know all we can about baby. He would like me to take my BP on my own as well as at keeping an eye on it at his office. We will also start me on low dose baby aspirin at about 8 weeks. It was a ton of info but best of all baby is there and it's bitty heart is beating!
