My girls will be a monkey and a banana at the older girls request. Considering her limited vocab I don't quite know why these things or if she evens gets it, but a monkey and a banana it is!
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
Ds (6) is going to be a navy soldier and dd (8m) is going to be a nurse. It was the only thing we could think of that matched a soldier. I'm open to other ideas if anyone has them. :-/
DD will be Dora maybe? I don't even know if they have a Dora costume, but A loves Dora like woah.
Also, we're probably going to be trunk or treating this year so I want pictures of her in a costume she loves. I suppose I could dress her up like a cat from Aristocats, but that'd probably be more expensive.

@Aussie45 They totally have Dora costumes, but you could do it on the cheap with a pink shirt, purple shorts (she wears purple shorts? Whatever, you get it...) and a black bob wig. Draw some eyeballs on a map, have her carry a backpack as her candy bag, and maybe a Boots stuffie if she has one, and you're good to go.
ETA: Orange shorts. Had to look it up or it would've bugged me.
My son is 21 mo. and is in to trucks, trains, and dogs. I don't think he would understand dressing like a conductor or a construction worker. I found an adorable puppy costume that was perfect for 20 bucks at marshalls. Can't beat it and he LOVES it.
While I was there I saw adorable bee costumes, ladybug, and pigs costumes. I thought they were adorable too. My friend bought a pattern that can be used for a lion, ladybug and something else. She is making a lion.

DD is going to be Elsa (she's 6), DS(3 y/o) will be Mickey, and 10 month old DS is going to be a Dalmatian. We have a costume DS1 never wore so DS2 will use it and I think I'll dress up as Cruella to match with him.

Oooh, I may have to do this, but switch the shorts to pants because I have a feeling it's going to be freezing cold here by Halloween. We're already down in the 40s this weekend

Julia is going as one of the Rainbow Magic Fairies. Emma is going as a purple cat. I was planning to have Drew go as a penguin (because oddly none of my kids has gone as a penguin!) but Emma is begging for him to be "Brown Bear" to match her purple cat. Since that's his favorite book we'll probably do that.
DD1 is going to be a witch, so I decided DD2 will be a black cat. It wasn't my original plan, but this might be the last (and only) year I can get away with coordinating their costumes. I am going with it.
LOL I don't know. I just never have been a big Halloween person. Even as a kid. I love costume parties other times of the year though. I don't like scary things, so that's probably it.
Of course I live in fucking Halloween town basically...I mean we have a Mardi Gras style parade on Halloween afternoon, then people have live bands and DJs spin in their front yards for the 1000s of ToT who drive from all around to come to our 'hood. We turn the lights off and pool our candy with a friend. We spent $500 on candy last year and it was all gone...and it rained. The people up the street have Sara Evans sing every year. Another group has a popcorn machine and gives out fresh popcorn all night. It's nuts.

Okay, your area sounds insane! That would drive me batty too! And $500 in candy is crazy. I buy $40 worth and usually end up eating half of it myself!

I'm surprised. Not sure why, but I thought you would be someone who gets into the costume thing.
