This has happened before I was pregnant but now it has gotten worse. While I'm in the shower, I get really dizzy & feel like "I have to get out RIGHT now or I'm going to faint." Anyone else experience this before?
Yup. I usually turn the water to cold and sit for a min if I feel faint, and sometimes if I already feel faint I'll take a bath first then rinse off and wash my hair in the shower. I have a hosed shower head and it helps too because it usually only gets worse and I can just sit in the shower to wash my hair if it's too bad. It makes cleaning the tub easier with kids to have one anyways.
Make sure you are getting enough fluids. If you are drinking like crazy and still thirsty, then try something like gatorade. I take baths most of the time, pregnant or not, because the hot water while standing makes me tired and fast heart rate at best, light-headed at worst.

So relieved to read that this is happening to other people too!! Obviously I'm not happy that it's happening but that it's not out of the norm. The past two weeks I've been sitting in the shower and I feel a lot better.
Yes that's happened to me before. I actually did faint earlier in this pregnancy although not in the shower. As PPs have said, make sure the water isn't too hot and sit down when it happens.

I was at a patient house today and I stood up I got dizzy n everything went black for about 30 minutes. Then after that I felt gittery all over for about a hour or two!
I had this pre-pregnancy and still do now in pregnancy and worse. I find showering at night also helps, or if it has to be in the morning, I eat breakfast, drink lots of water, and have to move around or stretch a bit before the shower. Otherwise blood from resting just doesn't have enough time to get to my head. Warm, shorter showers is key.
Low blood pressure issue for me, both pre-pregnancy and now. Totally agree with all PPs about lowering the water temperature, sitting down, etc. I've been trying to shorten my showers as much as possible too which seems to help a bit.
I didn't really have too many symptoms in the 1st trimester but I'm 12 weeks 5 days and the last 2 weeks I have been having dizzy spells. I was in my patients room and had to leave quickly because I felt faint and this morning was even worse. I was diaphoretic, dizzy, lightheaded and started vomiting. I know my blood pressure was low, when I started feeling slightly better it was 97/67 which is a little lower than norm for me. Get up slowly and try not to be too in too hot of a shower or a bath. Welcome to the 2nd trimester
