DS has been in a phase the past week or two where he hates not being vertical. He has to sit or stand at all times or he is not a happy camper. We were holding his hands and letting him stand and bounce over at my mom's house earlier and he saw her walk into the room and started actually trying to take real, determined steps towards her. I followed behind and just let him lead as I balanced him. He had to take a couple breaks, but he actually really tried to get over to her. What happened to trying to scoot and crawl?!? You missed a step bud, back up and try again. I'm not ready for this! Does any STM+ have experience with early walkers? Or is anyone else starting this yet? I know I never crawled and went straight to walking at 10 months and babies in my family normally walk between 7 and 10 months, but I'm still not ready for DS to try and start learning at 5.5 months

i know it'll be a long time still before he's moving on his own, but watching him today made me both really proud and sad. What happened to my tiny newborn?
Edit thinking faster than i could type
Re: Forget crawling, I want to WALK!!
I'm gonna keep enjoying being able to put ds where I want him and he stays lol
