DD did a lot of sleeping on her tummy during the day for naps but she also slept on her back just only at night, I think bc I was paranoid about SIDS I wouldn't let her sleep on her tummy at night. With DS he only wants to sleep on his tummy, if I ever put him on his back he just fusses or cries until I roll him over. I had a friend whose baby is now an angel baby bc of SIDS and she put him on his back every time she put him down. He only got about 30 min of tummy time a day.
So how does your LO sleep?

I feel like the chart above is really just terrifying and unnecessarily hurtful to mothers who try to do what is best for Their baby. I'm sure lots of moms ignore the no blankets or animals in the bed rule while tummy sleeping which impacts those stats

You are your LOs mother; you know what's best. Allie spits up and chokes on her back. She is able to help herself get her gas bubbles out on her belly. I take the SMALL risks of SIDS over the nightly hearing her choke on her spit up.
I hate the judgement. It makes me stabby.
So I feel if your baby is strong enough to roll from back to side on their own then they are safe enough to side sleep. That said, I still wouldn't judge a mom who chose side or tummy sleep.
