So I'm thinking about changing my doctor, and there are many reasons why just want to make sure they're legit... I mean... Am I asking for too much?
Pros:
1. She is named in my insurance as an Aexcel doctor supposedly having a better rating than other doctors in the list
2. She's a woman, older. She is actually the only woman out of the three doctors I can choose from with my insurance.
Cons:
1. Her office is on the other side of town, 20 min on the freeway
2. She doesn't take debit/credit cards
3. Her office is tiny, often crowded with no leg room in the waiting room
4. No matter if your on time or early to your appointment there's always a wait of about 1hr even if you're "next"
5. Her staff is a little rude at times and unprofessional
6. Her machines are like from the 80's I seriously think it has an opening for a floppy disk (see for yourself I have attached picture)
7. Sent me to a lab to get ultrasound
8. She showed me a very bad picture of my baby, I could only see the top of the head and for like 2 seconds part of the legs and it looked super tiny ( not sure if it's the tiny screen and horrible resolution or what).
9. No printout of baby's picture
10. Always seems in a hurry, appointment is never more than 10min. But yet I have to wait 1-1.5 hrs to see her and a blurry picture of my baby I better have photographic memory and be able to describe to others cause I can't share it anyone

11. Her office is in a shady neighborhood that seems to be trapped in the past with all the old buildings and deserted shopping places

spooky
12. No voicemail or call waiting, if they're on the phone you have to hang up and call 50 times until they're done all you get is a busy tone. Seriously! It's like calling a radio station! Wth!?
Am I being too bratty for wanting to be able to have a doctor that listens To me, cares, has top notch equipment or at least from this century, has a voicemail, less wait times, seriously is this too much to ask for!? Last pregnancy my doctor was awesome I wish I could go back to him but he's in another city, he had 3-D imaging and was super nice and caring and not creepy at all and obviously took cards

wth ?
Re: High standard of care or bratty?
Best of luck!
We changed DS' pediatrician because no matter the appt time we'd always end up waiting close to an hour in the waiting room and then another 20 in the exam room. I really loved the pediatrician but it was very inconvenient to have to plan to spend about 2 hours total in the office, especially with a baby. Ain't nobody got time for that.

My husband and I are going to an elective center for 3-d and gender confirmation earlier than 20 weeks. The cost is about $50 in my area.
It's a shame that your insurance only offers 3 options - at least that narrows the field for who you need to interview.
I also think that finding a midwives practice could be a good option.

That being said, no voicemail and rushed appointments are a problem.
It sounds like you've already made up your mind and I wouldn't think twice about it. Ask around for referrals.
My advice is find someone you trust. Maybe this person isn't that someone.
It sounds like you've already made your mind up. Find a new doctor.
