I delivered my first there in 2011 and had a good experience. I used the midwives through the U of M and they are wonderful. I also had great nurses on both floors (L&D is a floor above the recovery floor). Many of their nurses are LCs so there was tons of support if you are planning on breastfeeding. They also offer water births and are med free/low intervention friendly.
I delivered there in April 2013 and had an AMAZING experience. The L&D nurses are wonderful. I was in L&D for 3 days and got to know many of them. They were so great that we sent a thank you gift basket afterwards. They are one of the only hospitals in the State that has the Baby Friendly designation.

I'm currently set to deliver at Fairview Southdale but heard some pretty negative things about them during yesterday's Baby Expo. Heard great things about Fairview Riverside. Thinking about switching.
