I am an IVFer so keep in mind I'm a little wound up to begin with. At 8 1/2 weeks we heard a heartbeat (182bpm) and the baby was measuring 8w2d, which the doctor was happy with. At the appointment I mentioned my stress over virtually no symptoms. I was told not to worry and released to by OB. At my 9w initial OB appointment the CNP was super nice and told me to get my next ultrasound whenever I wanted but that I wouldn't get the next one until 20 weeks. She suggested 10 weeks, but since our 8 week pictures were so unclear I mentioned waiting until 12 weeks so we could get better pictures and feel a little more reassured. She didn't care one way or another. Of course here I am at 10 weeks overthinking due to a continued lack of symptoms-other than a Poochy belly.

What did everyone do? When were your scans? I guess on one hand I keep thinking about how your uterus can grow even with a mmc and wouldn't I want to know ASAP if something is going wrong? On the other hand, if things are going well, it could be reassuring later to have later photos. Do I split the difference and do 11 weeks? Leave it at 12?

Wrong April :P I'd wait till 12 weeks for a better picture and less time between ultrasounds. But if an earlier scan would give you peace of mind, then go for it! Prayers that all is well and this is your sticky baby
