So this thread has been done before, but it was very helpful for me to read in my first trimester when I was spotting. Since it has been a little while and we have so many new members I thought it may be appreciated.
I'll start:
I spotted a tiny bit at 7 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks. A few drops here and there for one or two days, bright red blood. Nothing ever came of it.

PSA: If you're spotting and you're Rh negative, you need to talk to your doctor about the Rhogam shot!

How exactly do you know if you are Rh negative? I have heard many different things and am curious what the truth is.
I had spotting on and off throughout the first 10 weeks or so, including a single gush of red blood one day that never returned.
All was OK, OB chalked most of it up to irritated cervix b/c of progesterone suppositories. The gush of blood was never really explained and never happened again.
The OB said a large minority of women have unexplained bleeding and spotting during their pregnancies and that while that likely wasn't entirely comforting, it was normal for many people.
I'm 28 weeks now and all is well.
(((hugs))) to all who need them.
I had a little brown discharge again at 13 weeks, and that lasted only a couple days. The cause of these spotting episodes was never explained, but I'm currently 37 weeks along and LO is doing great
Most people who have seen a doctor for a loss or a pregnancy check up have had the blood test for the Rh factor. It's the "negative" or "positive" after your blood type, like "O positive" or "B negative." Almost everyone who has had a loss, unless it's super early, should know if they're Rh negative because they'll have gotten the Rhogam shot. If you're negative, they'll also give you the test to determine if you're sensitized to the Rh protein. If you're not sensitized, you only have to make sure it stays that way (such as by getting the Rhogam shot if you have spotting). If you are, they will monitor your pregnancy carefully for problems.
Hope this helps! There are lots of websites on the topic, too, but I'm on mobile.

I spotted on my first pregnancy pretty much after I got BFP through week 9, which resulted in a loss.
I have been spotting since last week with this pregnancy. The doctor doesn't have an explanation for it. She did advise no sex and light exercise (just to be cautious). My ultrasound 5w6days went well. I'm still experiencing pregnancy symptoms, so hoping that the spotting stops soon.
