Weight loss ladies! (10/3)

How's it going? How did everyone do with the soda cutdown challenge?

New Challenge: Mix It Up!
Try something new this week! Go to a class at the gym that you've never done, find a video on Netflix of a type of workout you'd like to try. There are so many options...yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, spinning, aqua aerobics, Zumba...Shake up your routine a little, and tell us how you liked it!

Also, one of the gals on SAHM had a suggestion - It's the beginning of a new month. Set a personal goal for yourself! Do you have a weightlifting goal? A distance to run? Heck, even a goal to just get to the gym twice a week? Let us know what your goal is!

I just started back to working out again and have about 20 pounds to lose. (Lost 2.6 this week)
Is it okay if I join in on the weekly check in? Soda was really cramping our grocery budget so in the last week we stopped buying it and I've had a ton of water instead. I did get a small Sonic coke zero yesterday while we were out, but I chose to get their small instead of a large. :)
My goal for October is to be able to get 3 miles on the treadmill by the end. Currently I can do about 2 1/2. (secondary goal is to not buy any halloween candy until the week of)
  • I did okay. I drank a couple of diet sodas but compared to how many I was drinking it's a GREAT improvement. And my h2o intake is awesome so hopefully this next week I can cut out sodas completely.

The bf and I just had a huge talk about everything post baby and a lot of it came back to us not feeling good about our weight. We've had this talk before but I'm hoping this is the time it sticks!

I somehow lost 4lbs this week though! Woo hoo! And at first I was scared it was water weight that'd be back the next day but it's stayed off. WOOT WOOT! So that's given me major motivation to keep on keepin on.

My goal for October is to get at least 30mina of walking in a day. Be it at target, the park or the gym.

Keep up the awesome work ladies!

  • I had pop once this week, because I was out with work friends and honestly forgot all about the challenge since I'm not normally a pop drinker, haha! It was definitely an isolated incident, though :)

My goal for myself is to start tracking my food again. I was going to do an activity related goal, but that is so hard because it is so unpredictable when I will have time for it. So, track my food it is. Because really, the way I've been eating lately, I could up my activity and not see any results anyway. Best to start with food and get myself feeling better.

  • I was doing well, then Em caught a horrid cold and passed it to me. To make me feel better I have eaten mostly from the food group chocolate, biscuits and crap! Oh, and my step-dad came for lunch with KFC...it would've been rude not to eat it :)
Somehow I've managed to lose 1lb....probably only cos the OH likes a proper dinner, and so LO can join in I've cooked all evening meals from scratch.
I do alot of walking, but may ask the MIL to take Em for an hour a couple of times this week and see if I can get out for a run (not done that in about 15 years....I may not survive!)
  • We've been on vacation in Southern California this week which means I'm indulging in a lot of the food I miss. I've been pretty good regarding soda, I only had one this week and it was just to keep me awake while I drive at night. I'm not looking forward to weighing myself when I get back home. Did I really need that 24 layer chocolate cake last night? Probably not, but it was delicious.

Last night we went to a wedding reception and they had a bunch of finger foods as their meal. I'm talking mini egg rolls, little chicken drummies, burger sliders, etc. I have no idea how to even track any of this correctly in MFP :-??

I consider weddings and other big events "free days". You need those every once in awhile anyway. ;)
