UPDATE-Cramping alone- should I call OB?

So I've been having some uncomfortable cramping for the past 2 hours or so. No spotting or bleeding at all. The pain isn't awful but it's noticeable and definitely causing some discomfort. I've drank a few glasses of water and attempted to "rest" (I have 3 & 1 year old boys). Should I call my OB? Am I being PGaL crazy? My husband has this afternoon off so he's headed home.

Update- I went all crazy PGaL lady after my OB office nurse called back and said the dr on call said just to wait until my appt on Monday since it wasn't really bad and there was no bleeding/spotting. I basically said no, that wasn't acceptable, last time I was told to wait when I had spotting I went another week thinking things were OK, and they were not. So they had me go to an imaging center for an US. Baby was looking good! Measuring a few days ahead. HB 172. What a relief! I fully admit that I was a little crazy and I will probably have my picture on the wall of crazies at the OB where it says "Do Not Serve" ;)

    My OB told me to call her any time for any reason. I think anything that makes you question "should I call" warrants a call. It can't hurt.
    Good luck, I hope all is good. As hard as it is to believe, cramping is normal. :S

    I would call. It doesn't hurt to call and have them say it's nothing to worry about. I wouldn't be surprised if they told you to keep doing what you're doing (drinking water and trying to rest), but it's best to check with the experts.

    As soon as I hit "post" I decided to call. With my miscarriage, I put off calling about spotting for 5 days thinking it was "nothing". Better safe than sorry for sure. Hoping it's nothing.

    I agree with the PP. That is what your OB is there for, and I think that anything that makes you question if you should call or not, then you should call!

    I'm glad you called and I hope it's just normal cramping.  That's better to at least ease your mind. Resting and drinking water is what I would have done, too in the meantime.

    I think that's probably normal, but I'm in camp call if you feel you should, so I'm glad you did. Please keep us updated. Hope everything is just fine!

    FWIW I had some pretty terrific cramping early on, but with no bleeding or spotting and so far everything has been fine. I am glad you called though, even if for peace of mind. I am also of the belief if you have to question whether or not you should be calling then you probably should. Let us know what they say!

    I've been pretty crampy myself so far... FX that all is well with you and that the doctor puts your mind at ease.  Keep us updated!

    Most likely, I would think it's normal. However...I think that you should call the OB, if anything, for reassurance. It's always safer to check than not. Hope the cramps get better!

    :) Better to be the "crazy lady" who got reassured by good news on an u/s than the truly crazy lady who is miserable waiting all weekend and wondering if all is well.

    I'm so glad baby is ok! Don't ever feel bad about calling for reassurance. That's why we pay them so much! I'm pretty sure I have a crazy star next to my name too. ;)

    Glad you got some reassurance and baby is doing well. I don't think they realize how scared out of our minds we are. Don't feel bad for being that crazy woman. I tease my doc all the time to see where they have PITA written in my file.

    Good for you for telling them that was unacceptable!  I'd always rather be on the crazy wall with some piece of mind, then at home worrying sick!

    I'm glad all looks well. FWIW, I'll probably end up on that wall, too. I had a moment where I stated rather clearly to the receptionist that, "No, I will not hold and I will not be put through to the nurse's voicemail. She told me to call back at 4:00pm if I hadn't heard from her, which I did. It's now 4:25 and you close at 4:30 and I need an answer." 

    I only felt moderately bad about that. Sometimes we need to advocate a bit more forcefully than at other times :)
