Re: +++ Autumn Acorn Check-in 10/2 +++

  • Hi Acorns!

    My baseline looked good this morning so I'm starting stims tonight.  Now the nerves set in!  I'm doing a different protocol than my last two cycles so I'm anxious about the results.  I guess I'll find out in two weeks!

    QOTW:  I'm definitely not crafty but my husband and I are fixing up our house.  He is definitely the brains behind the operation but I help as much as I can.  I also love spending time with my dog.  We go to the beach, hikes in the woods, the dog park, etc.  She is so much fun!

  • @erbear84 great news!!!

    I had my day 6 ultrasound this morning & had 13 follicles! My RE is very happy with how I'm progressing. I start follistim + menopur + ganorelix tonight. We're probably triggering Sunday & ER on Tuesday.

    QOTW: I used to run half & full marathons before IF. My weekends were usually planned around long runs & recovering from long runs. I miss it so much! I know I'll be back at it one day though.

    @erbear84 That sounds like a good retrieval.
    @mrscw What size to they count as a follicle?
    @callalily30 GL with stims.

    AFM, I had my day 6 monitoring today. I *think* the u/s showed nine follicles at 8-10mm and a bunch of smaller ones that I assume are not far behind. Now just waiting to see what the doc decides and what the labs say.

    My head still hurts off and on, but nowhere near as bad as Sunday. Tylenol and Dr Pepper help enough.

    QOTD: I'm taking cake decorating classes right now. I liked it when I tried it for a short time 15 years ago and I've always wanted to try working with fondant. This is part of my pipe dream to get into food writing and photography. Other hobbies are jujutsu, weightlifting, cooking, photography, reading, writing (also my job)... it's really hard for me to focus on only a few things since I find so many things interesting.

  • I had an ultrasound this morning that showed 10 follies that measured greater than 10 mm with a bunch measuring less than 10! Finally some progress! Just waiting to hear back on the labs. I have been feeling so nauseous, not sure if it's the estrogen rising or a side effect of the stims.

    I'm not too crafty, but my DIY board on Pinterest is full of things that I would like to start. I do love to cook and bake so my coworkers get spoiled with the goodies that I make!

    Hello Acorns! I had my baseline u/s and bloodwork this morning and all looks good. I will start stims on Monday. We also had the consult with the lab director to go over fine details of the PGS testing and wow. It's amazing.

    Love reading the updates here and keeping all the acorns in my thoughts!

    QOTD: hobbies are gardening & cooking. I'm ok with craftiness but it's not my main thing. :)

    Hello!

    Sounds like things are going well for many. YAY!

    Great numbers @erbear84 (which I already told you but it's so exciting that I'll tell you again ;) )

    The last few days I've been feeling pretty good and then this morning I was driving to work and felt a lot of nausea, cramps, light headedness all that fun crap. I'm just trying to make it through the day at this point. I keep telling myself only 1 more day after this one. My ET will be on Tuesday-G-dwilling- and I took Monday and Wednesday off work as well. Thursday we have a half day with the kids and parent teacher conferences (which I don't have many of) and Friday we have conferences (I didn't schedule any). Then the next week is fall break! So basically after today I have 1 more full day of work for the next two weeks.

    QOTW: I used to go to the gym a lot, but since I have been having a tough time with cycling and medication I haven't gone. Basically I'm big into Fantasy Football and TV :)

  • Hi Ladies,

    Lots of good reports from everyone! Yay!

    @callalily30 GL with stims! I hope the new protocol will be the one for you!

    @erbear84 Great numbers! Woo Hoo!

    @mrscw 13 follicles! Exciting!

    @tweetyknicks glad you are feeling a little better :)

    @katemonster1 sounds like you are responding well! GL at your appt on Saturday!

    @FutureMrsBaldwin2012 Congrats on your progress! Hope you feel better soon.

    @IfMamaAintHappy Yay for starting stims on Monday! I'm getting ready to start too!

    @aggiejess2007 I should be starting tomorrow too. And I just told a friend that I've never been so excited to jab myself with a needle! LOL! GL!

    @Sunny B Boo! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well today, but yay for only having one full day left of work. That is awesome! FX for your ET on Tuesday!

    I love reading everyone's updates! It's great to see everyone moving forward!

    AFM - I'm supposed to have a baseline US tomorrow AM and start stims tomorrow night! I've never been so excited! Haha :)

    I'm a little worried, because I stopped BCP on Sunday and was told I would probably get a light period this week. I have had zero bleeding at all. Does anyone know if that is ok? I'm desperately hoping that another roadblock doesn't show up and delay me again!

    Have a great weekend, Acorns!

    QOTD: I love to write and to read. Lately I'm loving Audible because I can listen to books on tape while I drive to work (I have a long commute)

  • Hi all! Still waiting on my schedule. Got our approval from insurance (yay) still expecting er in Oct based on my previous schedules. Wish I had more to report!

  • Hello acorns!

    I'm mobile, so also can't comment to everyone, but it looks like everyone is chugging along! Can't wait to start seeing PUPO and BFPs!!

    AFM-- 5 blasts on ice, with biopsies sent for PGD. It's like the first road trip! We should have results in 1.5 wks. I'm waiting on AF to start prepping for FET. Tonight's my first night in WEEKS (7 I think) of NO SHOTS! I almost feel lost. My alarm just went off on my phone, and I didn't know what to do!!

    QOTD- I'm a gym freak. And I'm dying without my workouts. The Ove's have simmered down a bit, so I'm going to try to get back to the elliptical tmrw. Oh, and I work too much. I want to get into photography, if I can afford a good camera after IVF!

    Happy almost Friday girls!

    QOTD: I'm pretty crafty myself. I usually either Quilt or crochet. I also love to read anything I can get my hands on. DH is actually in the process of renovating our 3rd bedroom to make a craft room with a built in reading nook for the days when I just need to get away and unwind.

    @O2girl‌ good luck tomorrow!

    Went in for a check this morning and my
    lining is still too thin at a 6 so they increased my Estrace and I go back Monday to check again. Transfer is looking like next Thursday.

    QOTD I wish I was a little more crafty but I do make a good effort! Fall seems to be the time of year I really want to dive into my Pinterest and make things for around the house.

  • @O2girl‌ good luck tomorrow! AFM, still on BCPs, last one will be on the 13th. I had my mock transfer and hysteroscopy yesterday and all went well. Funny(?) story; the endoscope was leaking flush fluid a little bit. Because of my work, I know this happens sometimes if you don't have the scope assembled just right, it's NBD and I wasn't worried. RE asked for a towel, then reassured me nothing was wrong, just that "whoever put this thing together this morning smokes too much weed." I laughed, but my RE is pretty dry, cocky, blunt, and has no filter...I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't exactly a joke and he was getting a jab in on his employees. Awkward...QOTW: I work way too much, but when I'm not working, I love riding my horses, canoeing, and quilting like @Nutmeg8484‌

  • @tweetyknicks I didn't ask what their cutoff is for measuring follicles and I don't remember all of the measurements, but I think they were all around 10 mm or above. They were really happy with how I was responding & I'll likely trigger on sunday for a tuesday retrieval. @tweetyknicks, @katemonster1 @futuremrsbaldwin2012 I'm cheering for our follies!!!!

    It's great to see everyone's progress! I had a long day away from home today so I didn't get to respond as much as I would have liked today. After work, my doctor hosted a fertility panel discussion and I brought a friend along with our moms. I've been trying to get my friend to switch to my RE from her office which is not so hot- She was 100% convinced after tonight. I love my RE! I think it was great for my mom to hear about everything too- and finally meet my RE.

  • @IfMamaAintHappy‌ - I had to give up my normal boot camp classes for elliptical every day on day #5. I had to give up all together on day #9. You can feel your ovaries growing, and will know when it's time to stop. Any twisting, tweaking, pulling isn't good- and you could actually lose an ovary from pushing it too much. :(

  • Hi Ladies,

    I had my SHG on Wednesday and they found more fluid!  To make a long story short they wanted me back for an endometrial biopsy on Thursday.  My doctor is concerned that I might have endometrititus (spelling?) which is an inflammation of my uterine lining.  I've had this fluid since I started doing IUI's last April!  Even though I'm upset it took this long for them to take a look at what this fluid is, I'm happy it's being taken seriously now.  If it is the inflammation then I'll have to go on 3 weeks of an antibiotic and my FET will be moved :(  If it isn't the inflammation then I'll be able to go ahead with my 10/30 date.  As much as I want a diagnosis I don't want to push this back another month.  It is what it is....I think we've all learned IF is a whole lot of "hurry up and wait".

  • Went for yet another ultrasound this morning, today I had 18 follicles that were larger than 10 mm!  I go back again tomorrow morning, I am getting the feeling that I will be there everyday until ER.  They decreased my meds last night due to my estrogen being 1400.  I am now on 37.5 units of Bravelle and 75 units of Menopur along with my 5 units of Lupron.  I am hoping that ER is early next week because I am so anxious!  I am still feeling pretty good, the nausea has tapered off and I am not bloated yet.  I am thinking that by Monday I will not be feeling as good!  I hope you all have a good weekend :)
