@mothereffingkatie Hopefully they get things figured out for Si! I know how you feel, I used to have the same issues with DD about having DH take her to appts and wishing I could be there. Hang in there!
Luke has surgery tomorrow. The surgery center is supposed to call by 3pm to tell me what time we have to be there in the morning.
I took DD to daycare for a trial run today. Her BFF still goes to daycare there so I was hoping that would help, but his mom came in to drop off his little sister and said that he has HFMD... which sucks for two reasons. 1. DD may be more of a handful for the dc teachers without him there and 2. we have had about 5 play dates with them in the past 3 weeks which means HFMD is probably about to attack my house.
So now I'm paranoid that DD will start a fever from HFMD but I won't know if that's it or not until the rash does or does not show up. Now I have a dilemma of giving her the steroid or waiting it out and missing our chance at a formal diagnosis this month. Gah....
ETA: I'm an ass. The HFMD sucks for three reasons- Obviously I don't want the boy to be sick and I am so sorry that he's not feeling well!
I teach middle school and we only have today and tomorrow left before we're off for a whole week for Fall Break. Unfortunately, my students chose this time to give me a nasty cold!
On the bright side, they're typing a paper so I'm spending the day looking at stuff on Etsy for Emme's birthday. Also, my Boba 4G that I ordered should be here today!
@LJGS1010 Babies are just never convenient. The timing with work sucks but I'm sure you'll work your tail off before your leave and they'll miss you while you're gone. If I can't be Sinny in my next life, coming back as a man sounds like a close second.
A was up 6 times last night. He was all smiles this morning so I don't think he's sick or having pain from teething. Seemed like he just wanted to climb all night. DH and I took turns getting up with him so we're both wrecks this morning.
@Mommyxtwo1113 Hoping HFM does not make an appearance at your house. With C's fevers it would be tough to know if she had it or it was another intermittent episode. How are you feeling about tomorrow?
@cagoldi I'm so anxious. I tend to cope by cleaning (control freak). So our house is really clean. We just got the call that we have to be there at 6:55am which is perfect because daycare opens at 6:30.
@MotherEFFingKatie wishing LO good luck with the ENT, I hope you get some answers! @Mommyxtwo1113 fingers crossed LO avoids HFM. @Sing2phins enjoy your afternoon, how nice to have a little free time to yourself! @LJGS1010 I'm sure it's easy to feel guilt in your situation, but don't even feel like you don't deserve something because of being a woman or pregnant. There really never is a good time for pregnancy, chances are if this had happened a few months or even a couple years from now there would be another reason why the timing seemed off. Keep on moving forward, you deserve to be a part of the project!
I am throwing DH a 30th birthday party on Saturday. It was supposed to be outside, but of course Saturday it is going to rain so we have to move the party indoors. Our house is pretty small so I am cleaning and trying to do as much reorganizing as possible to accommodate everyone. It's inconvenient, but should still be fun! I am just going to be running around like a mad woman for the next couple of days to get everything done!
I also want DH to hang the decorations I made for LO's room before everyone comes. We renovated the front half of our house and moved in, in July. We still have the little details and decorations we haven't quite finished. I don't care about the rest of the house but I want LO's room to be done! Here is a photo of the Pinterest inspired decoration I made laid out on the floor to determine placement of each hoop. I guess I am revealing LO's name as well!
Not much going on today. Neva's last ISR lesson is tomorrow. She's doing awesome! I'm so proud of her. Today when she was floating on her back she started clapping for herself. It was adorable.
I'm meeting a mommy friend for a play date later on today. We've been trying to get together for weeks, but something always comes up. Either one of the baby's is sick, or last time it was my ankle. Hopefully we'll be good today!
@cagoldi my kid won't sttn either. My first two we're doing it by like 8 weeks, by ry never has consistently. Every once in awhile we have a good night, but it doesn't last!
@BrittAnnie19 creepy! Kids say the creepiest things sometimes, lol. My five year old is like the king of that. Once I woke up to him leaning over me, directly in my face just staring, and he whispered "there's something wrong with this town" another time he told me the the "boy in the mirror" was mean!!! I was soooo creeped out!
We just had a new bakery cafe open by us. Ry and I went to check it out after I dropped his brothers at school. I order a raspberry cream cheese crossaints, and it was heavenly!!! Now I want to go try everything on the menu. And, bonus, they have a drive through!!!

Cadence had a tantrum during a diaper change this morning with MH. I asked her if Daddy was being mean to her and she looked at him and straight up did the no no finger wave. It must be something they do at dc because we don't do it at the house. It was pretty funny.
This made me laugh. Hayley did this last week, I went to stick my finger in her mouth after a particularly bad night to see if she got a tooth, she pushed my hand away and said "bad", in disbelief I tried again and low and behold she did it again! I have no idea where she learned it but all I could do was laugh. I think she must know what it means because the context was perfect.
I went for my NT today, baby #2 is looking great! I also formally broke up with my obgyn and informed them I'll be transferring my care to a new high risk doctor- the staff gave me hugs all around, sadsies, but the right decision.
@Soozerella your hair and clothes will smell like clam chowder for weeks.
@lasuncion A STTN at 8 weeks, but then stopped at 12.
@mamasoup030 Glad to hear Baby Soup #2 is looking good!!
I feel like everyone goes nuts for Hate Chicken but everytime I try it, I'm kinda just like "meh." I feel like I'm missing some secret order that everyone is having but me.
A took a 35 minute nap and a 10 minute nap at DC after being up 6 times last night. He's not sick and I don't think his teeth are bothering him. What on earth is going on with this kid?
@cagoldi is there an 11 MW?? Cause we are doing the same thing over here!
Jesus. The 4MW just never ended. It's been one long sleep regression. @BrittAnnie19 Said her DD1 started STTN at 18 months! Oh, good, only 7 months to go. Just put me out of my misery already.
Ok, I'm always just on mobile bump and I just logged onto my laptop during nap time. I tried to change my avatar and add pics to my signature…. can anyone see them? Or should I give up and slink back to the land of mobile bumping?

@BrittAnnie19 When I was picking him up this other mom was getting her 3 month-old and was telling the DC teacher he sleeps 7:30-6. I felt like choking her.

Ha! Yeah Layla slept good at that age too! That lady will see what's up right around 4 months....
