Shower planning?

Should I be involved in planning my shower? My mom, aunt and best friend are throwing the shower for me. They are getting together tonigh to talk about the shower. Should I go? What would you do?

    I helped my mom with invitations and she will probably ask for my opinion on some things. But I know my mom and she will probably just go with what she wants. It's fine with me because my mom has good taste. She's also very type A personality and I'm type B like my dad so it works out.

    If they invite you to go, I would.  But if not I'd sit back and relax.

    I am not involved in my shower in any way, shape or form. It just seems tacky to me to be involved in any way. I've been asked a few questions which I've answered but would not expect to be invited to a planning meeting.

    Only thing I've done is get addresses for my mom to send invites. Like PPs said, typically the guest of honor (namely you) is not part of the planning. I like it better that way. All I have to do is show up!

    No. If they ask your opinion on certain things, it's fine to give it, but I wouldn't attend the planning meetings. Let the hosts take care of it.

    I wouldn't help if I wasn't asked. But, I hate the games, what else could we do at my shower? (co-worker friend is throwing it for me)

    I'm not involved at all.. actually I only know the date cuz I said i wanna look nice that day lol.. other than that if my mom has had any questions she's either asked me or my sister in law, who knows me best, so I'm just hanging back..

    I was just editing when you commented! My host asked me, I think she knew I wouldn't really be into games. I'm just not a game person - I don't find them fun, I don't think I'm the only one who isn't amused by them... right? Chocolate in the diaper...etc.
