RAWV

I have a big fat Aw, so I thought I'd start this one today.

Aw: My 9 week old went from 8:30-6 without a feeding. I don't know what time she fell asleep as when I went to bed at 9:30, she was still awake and chilling with DH. I'm going to count that as sleeping through the night! Ahh sleep. Glorious sleep!

R: I'm going to try no nap today with DS. He didn't take one yesterday, and bedtime was a dream last night. I'll do a quiet time with him instead. I'm done with the power struggle at nap/bedtime.

Re: RAWV

  • That breakfast sounds awesome!

Vent- my kids have been overtired messes all week. I feel like extra days have been added to this week too.
AW- my preschooler hugged his brother goodbye this morning. It was so cute. I'll take it over all the shoving we've been dealing with lately.
I also got a load of chores done while he was at school.
Random- the leaves are falling and it looks really pretty.

  • @nowababy: Big hugs! I hope everything works out w/ the house-buying....that is so stressful! And I hope you feel better soon!

RAWV: The roof on our condo is getting replaced. This is good news, as we needed it desperately esp. before another winter, but it has entailed a lot of hammering over the boys' room, which makes me a little nervous at naptime. On the other hand, it also entails the boys getting entertained watching the men on ladders.....kinda good looking men w/ big muscles so a little entertainment for Mommy too ;)

Oh wait, does that make me unfaithful to DH?? :P

R: The boys have been learning to say "thank you" lately but they say it like "Oh bee kyoo!" So now when DH and I want to text each other "thank you" we type "OBQ"

  • R: I met a new mom friend...her son goes to preschool with L.  Today, she looked at my new van really funny and turns out I bought her old van from a dealership in town.  And her dad used to work with my dad, and I graduated with her cousin. I don't know what to make of all this!

AW: She took L to preschool today, and will drop him back off.  I have three HOURS to myself! (Well, E's napping, but it counts)

V: My shoes are a half size too big and it bugs me.

  • Random: Last night DH told me that he thinks he is smarter than me.  I told him the fact that he thinks he is smarter than me, shows that he is not.

AW: Nothing today... it hasn't been a good one.

Vent: I was supposed to get my varicose veins taken care of today.  At the last minute, I called to double check my insurance coverage.  It is a good thing I did, because I found it that it was not 100% covered as the doctor's office told me, and would end up costing me over $800.  I guess I should be happy that I didn't find out after the fact with a bill in the mail, but I am still really annoyed and upset.  I guess I am living with them for awhile :-(

Vent #2: My sister is pissing me off. She sprang on our family last week that she is thinking of moving across the country with her boyfriend who, up to this point, has not had gainful employment in the 3 years they have been together.  She said if he didn't take this job, he would have had to move in with her because he could no longer afford his apartment. She has an excellent job which would require her to be recertified, just bought a house that my dad has been remodeling for 6 months, and does not know a soul on the west coast.  They showed up at my other sister's house two days ago with a bottle of wine so they could talk.  She just texted to ask if she could come to my house tomorrow.  They better bring something stronger than wine because I cannot think of one nice thing to say to either of them.

  • @nowababy we are also house hunting, and it IS stressful. Fingers crossed that you get your beautiful house and everything goes smoothly. My husband has also said "being a grownup is hard" recently during the house hunting and pre-approval process.

R: I ate salad for dinner just so I could have a vehicle for my avocado

AW:  Whenever DH or I laugh, J will stop what he is doing and look at us and laugh too. I love it and I love him. This has brought some much needed laughter to our house.

V: Baptism is stressing me out.

  • R: H and I have too much on the DVR. I think we need to eliminate a couple shows.
AW: H's boss gave him 2 tickets to the football game on Saturday. Yay for date day! Hoping our team plays well.
V: DS's teacher is out on maternity leave until January. Due to a number of circumstances they have had 2 subs already and the one they currently have has just been hired permanently for another position so his class will now have another sub. DS doesn't do well with change and he is having a hard time with all the switching teachers.
