What's the difference?

Like today, I would never say mh and I are NTNPing...to describe unprotected spontaneous sex. That's just unprotected sex. And I'm fully expecting to POAS sometime in the near future and see two lines. Lol

What's in the wording?

I call TTC actively tracking fertility signs and "scheduling" to have sex during that time. NTNP to me is not using BC/charting to prevent.

One instance of unprotected sex to me is just that, more than one with the thought that you could get KU is NTNP.

Meesh, I hope you know that of you get pregnant from this you have to explain to everyone that you and your husband weren't actively TTC, but instead just had some instances of spontaneous, unprotected sex.

No, 'oops baby' is a euphemism. You need to be explicit in your description.

My brother was an oops baby. Mom thought she was in menopause. Instead she was KU at 41. She called him an oops baby around my 12 year old self, and I decided to nickname him oops. I feel so bad about that now.

To me NTNP is having unprotected sex when the mood strikes. TTC is temping, checking CP, CM, obsessively peeing on sticks, demanding sex during your fertile phase and generally being a basket case.

Yeah, NTNP is just having unprotected sex a lot. Whether it's to have a baby or not. TTC is actually doing something besides just having sex to have a baby. Be it as simple at tracking your fertile window in a crappy period tracker or doing a couple OPT's, or going full basket case.

I got pregnant with my 4 year old DS while NTNP. My husband and I lived 6 hours away from each other. I wasn't on BC and we saw each other once a month. I wasn't charting or keeping track of anything really. We had sex once and a few weeks later I was exhausted with sore boobs and no period. It just kind of happened. He wasn't an oops but he wasn't exactly planned.
