Okay, I lied (birth story-Syllessa)

I lied when I said I'd get my birth story done this afternoon. Too much going on.

TL;DR- Alexander Parker born 9/30/14 at 7:52am weighing 9lbs 13.5oz, 22inches long, with a 15 inch head.

So, we got to the hospital at 5am. I had less that 45 minutes of sleep the whole night before. I was just to anxious, plus fmil's house/couch was so covered in cat hair that I ended up super congested. We filled out the rest of the paperwork, and were taken to a room to change. Here's my very last bump picture.

And away we went. It took 6 tries to get my spinal done. Apparently there was a ligament in the way that bent more than one needle.

I'd never had a spinal before, and the sensation of being numbed up to my shoulders was freaky. I needed to cough and felt like I couldn't, then I couldn't feel myself breathe and I started to panic. The fabulous CRNA calmly petted my hair and talked me through that. FI came in, and it was time to go. As the incision into my uterus was made we heard a nurse say, "wow! That's a big butt!" Turns out he was a big EVERYTHING.

FI went with him to the nursery, while I had a golf ball-sized cyst removed from my right ovary. Then they closed me up and took my to recovery. FI and Alex met us there. I had to stay flat on my back until my BP stabilized, so I didn't BF right away, just snuggled. We finally got to go to our room. FI has changed every diaper so far, he's the champion of the swaddle, and he's much more natural with Alex than he thought he'd be. DD2 is super excited and in love.

After a very slow, sleepy start, he nurses very well. I lapsed 2 hours on my pain meds, so I'm playing catch-up, but otherwise we are bother doing great. This is happening in my hospital bed right now:
