Cloth Diapering

Help me spend money

Sold a bunch of diapers and am looking to buy a few new brands.  Talk to me about your favorites especially fitteds and pockets.

My current stash: I just destashed a bunch of 4.0 aplix but kept a few of my snaps.  I ordered some new Green Acre Designs to replace my beloved hand me downs that have been through 3 kids in 8 years, and a few sbish for overnight.   I have a few kawaii that I will love in a few more inches I think.  The rest of my stash is prefolds and workhorse-esq fitteds and some ancient WAHM fitteds that have long ago lost their squish and one lonely Kiwi Pie from before they were bought by Gro-Via (love it wish I had bought more, not in love with the new style).

I have an off the charts chunk of a 14.5 lb 2 month old but she's squat and has a big belly.  She's at the top end of her thirsties size ones over prefolds and needs her two over her sbish.  Help me spend the money burning a hole in my paypal.

Re: Help me spend money

  • I like the old-style Kiwi Pie, too. Are the new ones really so different? Maybe you can find some old-style if you look for used. Sorry, mine are not for sale!

If you are liking the Thirsties it may be worth trying out the OS Pockets. I have a few of the new ones and they've been great.

  • The fabric on the new kiwi pies is quite different it's a natural fiber but not cotton hemp or bamboo, can't remember what it's called right now.  I found one used at a local consignment shop and it feels almost plastic after it's washed well.  Not soft and squishy like mine still is.  I keep looking found a few on ebay but didn't act quickly enough.

Not in love with my Thirsties pockets though they are all aplix I might like the snaps better.  I'm on the b/s/t board if I find a cute print in snaps I might do it.  I'm a huge gently used fan.
