Progesterone while breastfeeding?

I have not used any OCP while breastfeeding, but I think that usually progesterone pills are prescribed, is that correct?

I am BF my DS, who is about to turn 1.  I think there is a chance I potentially could be pregnant.  I was having some symptoms, so I POAS and I am wondering if it is a very faint positive.  It's very light, but I don't think it's my imagination, as they say: a line's a line.  My AF would be due a few days from now, so it's a bit early to be testing.  Because of my history of recurrent miscarriages, I know I would need to start progesterone supplements ASAP if it turns out to be real.  DS is not quite ready to wean completely, and I am wondering if it would be safe for me to use the progesterone supplements while still BF.  I'm a little apprehensive about doing anything, so I'm just going to wait and take another test, but at the same time, I am pretty sure it would end up as a chemical pregnancy if I don't do anything.  

Anyone have experience with supplementing progesterone while BF?

TTC #2 4/2011, diagnosed MTHFR, FVL
Four natural cycles BFN; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;

4/2012 FET BFP #3
5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @ 8w.
6/2012 found Stage II/III endo on laparoscopy, removed w/ laser.
8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.

Vacation, break, second opinions, on to new RE.
1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy BFP #4 (break cycle), IVF #3 postponed.
2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture gave us a miracle BFP #5!
Heartbeat on U/S at 6w1d! Baby,please stay!!
Our miracle baby boy arrived 10/2013!  We are so in love!!

10/2014 Surprise BFP #6
Our second daughter arrived in May 2015!  We are so grateful!

    Talk to your doctor. I took Prometrium suppositories while BFing and pregnant. My Dr and the pharmacist both were ok with it. You can always call Infantrisk if you are concerned.

    Thanks Ladies!  Well, repeat FRER this morning is a definite positive.  I'm not getting too excited, with my history, but of course this is a very happy surprise.  I nursed him this am and then gave myself a dose of progesterone.  I am calling my doc this morning, but I know she will insist I wean immediately with my history of recurrent pregnancy loss.   Maybe that was our last nursing session for now... sad and happy at the same time.
