TMI but I need to know

Does any one have to vomit while they are taking a number 2? Don't have nausea or an upset tummy, but when you go to strain on the potty just start to heave? Yes, no? Is that just me?

  • Keep a big bowl or a trash bag with you on the potty.

  • Not uncommon, especially as of late. It's awful. I'm 13 weeks and see no signs of my nausea slowing down.
  • Oh my! You just made me feel great about my inability to poop. That would be awful!

  • Yeah, for some reason the two 'needs' seem to go hand in hand. I just...er... let the poop happen? Trying to think of a not so graphic way to say that I don't let myself strain at all and that seems to help. Definitely keep a bowl or trashbag in there with you though!
  • If I had a really bad bout of diarrhea even pre pregnancy I would feel like I was going to hurl at the same time. Thats when you stick the garbage can in front of you.

Now, I have to poop every morning after I wake up. Nothing horrible, just a regular poop. I don't feel nauseous until after right it's out. Then I flush, clean my hands, and vomit and/or dry heave for about 15 minutes. Ain't life grand?

  • Yep, been there... I pretend that the nausea is making me vomit out my butt, so I won't be sick anymore once the poop is over. It works!
