Can't think of a clever title. Just need to whine. Got to work at 3am and now 2 hours later I am violently ill and no one else will be here until 7. It can't come fast enough because I feel my insides are churning. Blegh.
I've been up since 5 and I normally eat breakfast around 615. LO fell asleep nursing and I am too busy soaking up these snuggles to get breakfast. However, I am starving!
Julia has 3 bruises on her forehead from the hotel crib. The thing was all heavy metal and looked like a baby jail. Poor thing kept banging her head in to it because she likes to scrunch herself up all the way in to the corner when she sleeps. I wonder if all hotel cribs are like that or if it was just this one.
I'm so jealous of you ladies counting down to Disney! We are in the early stages of planning a trip to Hawaii for next year (just DH and I) but there is no date set yet so I can't start the countdown. Somehow I have no bobby pins in my purse and my stupid bangs are flopping in my face. I don't think I can deal with this all day.
I am going to be a big fat AW and announce that I am officially back to my pre-Simon weight! I really pushed myself at the gym and yoga the past couple weeks, so I am proud. Now I just need to lose another 10lbs or so to be back at my actual pre-pregnancy weight (I had 2 miscarriages prior to Simon that packed on a few pounds).
I took the day off. I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and she said it was just a virus that needed to run its course. Yesterday I'm pretty sure it progressed to a sinus infection. This head pressure is killing me. I slept in, took a nap, got some iced coffee and now I'm lying outside trying to get some vitamin D. I have a doctor's appointment in a little bit. It's kind of nice taking a day to rest.

Ugh, I have a sinus infection as well. I wasn't congested yesterday, but my throat felt like it was on fire, so I was worried about strep and called off. Went to the doctor and she said it wasn't strep, probably just a virus or allergies. Woke up today with a full-blown sinus infection, and I feel like my face is about to explode.
@2012jmr What is the deal with these doctor's? My husband went in last month with a 'man cold' and they totally catered to him. They gave him 2 shots and he felt better a few hours later. I go in and they tell me sorry, you'll get over it. I'm a mom, people. I don't have time to feel sick. I'm going to ask for a shot today. Lol
Crawled out of bed a little while ago to bring ds1 to school because I thought that some fresh air might help. Stopped at Dunkin to pick up something for DH on the way home and some nice mantold me I look like Drew Barrymore. Apparently I should get the stomach bug more often, because I sure as hell don't look as good as Drew Barrymore lol
@margaerytyrell I know. I went to the Minute Clinic yesterday...and there's no point in going back today, as I've found out from previous experience that they won't prescribe anything unless I've had symptoms for at least 5 days. This is day 3. 5 days, seriously? Dealing with a teething baby is exhausting enough, but it looks like I'll be doing it while I struggle to breathe for a couple more days.
FFTC: I am sooooooo tired of teaching. My kids are SO lazy, they won't even try... I give step by step instructions, they still don't follow instructions, I repeat myself.... Still wrong. And when I tell them they're wrong and to look over it they'll say "I did it. It's right." (After 5 seconds)
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........
I. AM. OVER. IT.
Reason #72,956 why I am not teaching right now.
Also, I changed that random # twice to make sure that there weren't any repeated digits, lol. OCD much?
One of the babies we hang out with has HFM, and my group of Mom friends+babies had a get together on Sunday that I didn't end up going to, thankfully...BUT now I'm worried the other babies are all infected and just aren't showing symptoms yet, so I didn't go to our mother goose this morning to stay away from them.
I sounds like a paranoid freak but we are leaving on a jet plane next week - KID CAN'T GET SICK!

I wouldn't have gone either
GOOD! Hah, I wasn't sure if I was being "that Mom" or not. There are only 2 babies who would have be there today who are POSSIBLY next to get it - but that was enough for me to say, newp.
Anyone planning on continuing to BF after a year???
I'm not necessarily planning on it, but I wouldn't be surprised if our night time feed goes past a year. But who knows in three months, I'm really just taking it day by day right now.
This. Although I'll probably have to wean by March when I'm gone for two weeks. Unless I want to pump in morocco. Oh man I'm already sad about leaving.....

I hope to bf LO as long as I bf DD#1 but we will see. I just take their cues on when they are ready to wean. Though at this point it seems like she never will.
@SailorTink, congratulations!!!! And for @mamagplus4chix: "turn two", " self-licking ice cream cone", "get hot", and, " L-T".
@nykt.... I'm so lost. I have visions of menopause with these phrases! lol Help a girl out.
Just talking Navy for you:) turn two means get to work, get hot means work harder, and self licking ice cream cone is something my husband uses ALL of the time to describe how the upper chain reinvents the wheel.
