The other day on the ask a bumpie thread I had mentioned that I hadn't had a seizure in a really long time, over a year or so. Well, yesterday I had one. We were at my parents house and I was walking...then suddenly I'm just laying on the floor still convulsing and my entire family is surrounding me just freaking the fuck out. This one only lasted a minute and THANKFULLY I wasn't holding the baby. Or hit my head on anything. It may have been caused by forgetting to take my medication that day (I'm prone to do that often), stress about probably having to put my dog to sleep soon, and I've suddenly lost a lot of weight. Below my PP weight. Anyways, I'm home alone and terrified of it happening again while im holding Quinn. I won't take her out of the bedroom or downstairs because my house is al hardwoods. And I have to drive my 12 yo to practice later. I shouldn't even be alone, when you have a seizure you can just get up and walk around not even knowing it happened before you regain consciousness and even if you break your arm you don't even feel the pain till much later. I can't always live in fear but now I have a baby to worry about, when I'm holding her, walking down the steps, driving, giving her a bath, or even when I'm not holding her and it's happening when she really needs me. I don't know what the point of this Debbie Downer post is, and since my brain is probably rebooting itself I could just be writing senseless rambling nonsense. But I guess I'll end it with take care of yourselves. I know you guys don't have epilepsy but find ways to relieve pent up stress and anxiety, address possible PPD, or depression in general, and never forget to take medications that are prescribed daily.
Re: Scared rant of some kind
I've been meaning to ask you if your dog is trained to help you? I know there are dogs who can sense when someone is about to have a seizure and are trained to get help I think. I don't know a lot of info about them.
I hope you can reach out to those around you and let them keep you company and offer you support.

No, I don't have anyone to help me drive but I do as little as possible and not far. GA laws are very lax regarding license restrictions! I've known a few people who've had seizures while driving and thankfully were ok but their license was never restricted. It's stupid.
I used to dvr necessary roughness.
