Wives of freakishly tall, thin men

Help me find my dh a coat. Coat shopping is usually an annoying endeavor. Last time we bought dh a new coat it took us traveling to four Wilson's leather stores to find a tall sized coat that fit his arms/was long enough but weren't so loose another person could fit in there with him. Looking for something that can be worn with jeans or business casual wear. Helpppp.

We have tried that but the trend I noticed is that it's not just tall but big and tall. Dh doesn't meet the big requirement. It's so freaking annoying. He carries height weird too. His legs are really long, his torso not as much. His arms are really long, his shoulders are broad but his waist is small. Outside of tshirts clothes shopping for him is such a hassle.

We are finally breaking down and having one made. We found a tailor and have an appointment in a couple of weeks for measurements. We literally can't find one jacket that fits his arms. It will be expensive but is a long term investment and DH takes good care of his things:

I wanted to add we always have his shirts and sports coats made but our usual tailor doesn't work with leather. He is s strafe one.

Have you tried Nordstrom? They used to have a great selection of Large Tall coats for men. Andrew Marc makes some great ones. If you don't have one near you, the website has free shipping and returns.

Also, maybe Eddie Bauer? Their large tall stuff was too long my husband (6'5")

Banana Republic and John Crew may have tall stuff online too.

DH has success shopping at Banana Republic for coats, he is a size medium but 6'3. Also LLbean for work dress shirts, you can order in a medium (or even small) and long. I think coats would be the same.
