"Stocking up" question

It was mentioned in another post in passing and I am doing the same thing (stocking up on diapers and wipes etc). BUT now that December is creeping in fast I am wondering about the wipes I brought like two maybe three months ago, anyone have any idea of how fast wipes dry out? We have at least 7 cases at this point so even if we stopped buying more now the ones we have should carry us for a while and now I am concerned that they may be dry by the time they get to being used...Any one know if this is even a valid thought? And if so about how long it takes wipes to dry out when still in the original packaging (we did NOT stack them in accordance of when purchased)?

If they are still in their sealed bags they should be fine for a long time. If they dry out, add a bit of water.

As long as they are sealed properly I've never had an issue with my wipes drying out. I'm a couponer/stockpile lady and am constantly adding to it. I actually just added 720 wipes (10 packages) to my wipes stockpile the other day even though I still had 10 packages left. I store them in the top of my kids closet

They sit in a warehouse and on the store shelf for months. If the packages are still sealed, they should be fine. Once you open the plastic, they will dry out in a couple weeks to month or so.

Agree with the others. They shouldn't dry out at all.

The packages are sealed but I know I have run into like CVS and grabbed the small container box ones before that are sealed inside and opened it and it was dry wipes (very annoying if your on the go) so was wondering about the stock pile I have been growing since that would be a tremendous issue cuz all 7 boxes are the bulk boxes 800 count, would hate to lose that.

We bought I think 4 or 5 boxes of wipes at Costco (each box contained about 1000 wipes) when they went on sale after having dd. We had no issues at all with them drying out.

my mil bought us two huge Costco boxes of wipes for my baby shower with our first (almost 3 years ago) and I still have two packages sitting in his closet. Never had a problem with them drying out and I was surprised how long they have lasted, its crazy! I just bought two more boxes from Costco because they had a great deal of 19$ per box and free shipping to the house.

I also only had problems with super cheap brands or the small to go cases. Sams club also has great deals on wipes!

We have been buying from Costco. The nice thing about them is that if you bought them a few months ago and they get dry before you can use them, Costco will exchange them without any hassle. Plus they have $1.50 hot dogs.

They won't dry out as long as they stay properly sealed. I get the idea of wanting to stock up, but be prepared for some wipes and/or diapers to not work.

We only tried a couple different brands of wipes. We liked Huggies Natural Care the best -- they didn't irritate DD's skin (it seems like everything did in the early days!), they tear apart easily, they're super soft, and they aren't 75 feet long (Target's Up&Up are huge). We buy them in bulk from Costco.

We tried probably close to if not more than 10 brands of diapers. Every single one either gave her a rash or caused far too many blowouts. The only ones that worked for us were Pampers. We used Swaddles until she reached a size 4 and we switched to Cruisers. It's been a LONG time since we've tried going back to a cheaper brand and plan to try Costco's Kirkland once again after her current box is gone. If they don't work, back to Pampers we go!

Someone gave me wipes from her 7 year old child who hadn't used them in 4 years. I was sure they were dried up so I placed them aside. One day, about a year later, we ran out and I opened them up expecting to wet them before using, or that there would be some sorts of mold lol. However, they were adequately moist and perfectly fine.
I have noticed the wipes I get in the UK, pampers or huggies, dry up rather quickly. Even the sealed packages
