Where does the time go?

I'm in a post Hawaiian vacay, 1 week of maternity leave left, omg my baby boy is a big boy in school, how is DD going to be 3 months tomorrow funk....life transitions are so stinking bittersweet.

What are you dreading this week and what will you do to make things easier for yourself and family?

Ugh, that really does stink, I'm sorry!

For me nothing I'm really dreading...IUI was today so I'm in the 2WW. But determined to stay optimistic and I believe this is it! I am not so optimistic however, about sleep tonight. Stupid molars! Since wine isn't an option, and we're out of chocolate, I'm going to download a book and get comfy. Might as well enjoy those snuggle while I can get them!

I'm dreading telling my IL's that I'm pregnant this weekend. They are OBSESSED with pregnancy and think its the most beautiful, wonderful thing ever. When I was pregnant with A, as soon as they found out, they were incapable of discussing anything but me being pregnant..... And they feel NOTHING is off limits for them to ask! Seriously, nothing! I'm much less patient this time around and I am not putting up with it again.

I am dreading finishing an online chemo certification renewal course. I am doing in hopes of finding a job but I am probably just wasting time and money.

@trigirl79‌ good luck! The 2ww is a tough but exciting place to be. Hope you find a good book. If you watch/like the Bachelor and don't mind a fast trashy read I just read the book by Courtney Robertson called Didn't come here to make friends: confessions of a reality show villain. It's very entertaining!

@Ducky719‌ it's sooooo hard when things at work suck. I'm so sorry. I worked at a job that I absolutely despised and it tore me up and I dwelled and stewed about the daily happenings every day. Eventually I got outta there...I hope you can get into a better situation soon

@kmc84‌ that has to be super awkward, I can't even imagine. But in other great news... You're pregnant!!

@jesselayne8 I hope your course goes by fast and that you find a job. Hopefully you'll find it at just the right time. The job hunt sucks but the job I'm in now I randomly found online and I love it. Good luck.

I'm dreading an interview I have tomorrow. I mean, what the hell was I thinking? I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant! They're going to take one look at me and cross me off the list. But I guess its worth a shot because going from a 45 minute commute each way to less than 10 would be amazing and give me that much extra time with my babies. I just hate interviews

Thanks! It's a long shot but opportunities this close to home rarely come up so I felt like I had to apply. Plus I work in the government and I'll still be technically under the same system/union so it won't even affect my leave. Like you said though, it might be illegal but this huge belly will definitely count against me!

@ccam‌ good luck! Interviews are always nerve racking but I'm sure the bump makes you even more nervous. You never know! Your situation might work for them. Sometimes potential employers need a little time to get their ducks in a row before hiring! Hoping they see past the bump and look at all you realky do have to offer them!

Thank you!! I hope they look at the long term and not the fact that I'll be on maternity leave soon. I'll let you ladies know.

@cwhitaker I'm sorry you're in a funk. They really do grow up too quickly. I'm sorry you have to go back to work. It's so rough!

@TJ1979 Just curious - did you mention your pregnancy during the interview? I obviously can't hide it at this point so I'm unsure if I should just mention what will be the elephant in the room!

I did not @ccam. I also wore a suit. So I was definitely bulky, but you couldn't 100% tell I was pregnant, especially if you didn't know me. But no, I didn't mention it, because of the law about discrimination.
Because we hadn't discussed it, I was flat out terrified for my first day. It was going to be quite obvious that I was pregnant on my first day, and I was so afraid they were going to be mad. But everyone was really excited to find out I was pregnant and never once seemed upset.
I also work for the government, so I think that's a little easier than if it had been private sector.

I dread work everyday too. It's boring and monotonous

. I also dread going out on maternity leave and having to come back! I really struggled my first time and finally feel okay about being at work again. Not sure how it will be this time. I think I will end up interviewing towards the end of this maternity leave and I'm hoping something will fall in place. I've been here 15 years & it's definitely time for a change.

Yeah, there is no way I could even attempt to hide it! I'm also worried that since I'm scheduled for 7 weeks from now, there is a chance I might not even be able to start until I'm back from leave so I'm thinking I might just mention it. I don't know, I'm so torn! I also don't have a suit, but I have a blazer that I'll wear unbuttoned. I just wish this opportunity was like a year from now!

I understand your frustration @ccam. But you know, like you said all you can do is try. The worst they can say is no. Life doesn't stop just because you are pregnant. Take a deep breath, and knock them dead in your interview. They won't even care that you're pregnant because you're so freaking awesome!

Work stuff has been stressing me out a lot lately. There's a general bad mood going around - luckily there's always lots of kids to lighten up that part. I'm trying to avoid the negative vibes and push through.

I'm taking either a 1/2 day or whole day on Friday because we have baseball playoff tickets! I've never been to a post season game even though I've been a fan since kindergarten - years of stinky hometown teams have made it hard.
