Need Nursery Bedding help/opinions!

I was set on doing a yellow/grey nursery since finding out I was pregnant, but now that I know I am having twin girls I am having a slight change of heart. (thought I would have at least one boy in the mix)

. A lot of the yellow/grey crib bedding is unisex looking and my hubby thinks I should do something a bit more girly. I know that I want grey walls, white furniture, and one accent color. I don't want pastels or theme/ cutesy prints. Here are the 2 sets I am looking at. I am also up for other bedding suggestions. These 2 are from PBK, but it doesn't have to be from there. My budget is $175 or under per set, I won't be doing a bumper especially since it is a extra $79-$100 a piece at PBK, so keep that in mind when looking at the sets below. My cousin thinks I am crazy for not doing a bumper, but I thought it was advised no bumper.? Please help me! I need to order something, so I can get the nursery painted. TIA!

I love gray and anything. We were planning to do gray with pink accents with my first. That being said, I like the first picture.

I really like the yellow one! I would skip the bumper. But yeah like you said, they are not recommended anymore. The AAP says that there is no evidence that they prevent injury but do carry risk for potential entanglement, entrapment and suffocation. Not worth the risk, IMO. Save your money.

We are using this pattern from
target with grey walls. It had pastel pink, but it isn't overwhelming. One crib for us will have this with the other having blue accents. I was opposed to solely gender neutral for some reason,,,,,

Hoping to find one for a $100 or under.

So hard deciding! To many choices out there! Keep the advice/opinions coming! I really appreciate it!

I like both! If you really wanted to do bumpers I have the mesh bumpers and I love them. They are only about $29 at target. He has had them since day one and no issues with them.

I've never used bumpers for more than decoration so I find them useless. I like the first pink and grey option for the flowers. I'd love it more in purple. Either are adorable though.

Honestly though - all you really need is a crib sheet and possibly a crib skirt depending on the style of crib you have. The blankets are pretty much just decoration unless you use them on the floor for tummy/play time or something.

@michelle142‌ That is kinda what my cousin was saying about the quilt, but I was planning on using it for their toddler bed when I convert the crib. I wanted to get their names on them too, so they can keep them as a keepsake.

I am pretty sure I am going with the pink/grey option! It is cheaper too, so that is a plus.

If I get the names added on to the quilt should I do......

I'm all about using their whole name or monogram when they are babies, so I'd go with full name!

We are monogramming southerners at my house....poor DH...

I like the first one better too! But I'm also not into yellow & gray together (too many wedding's I think). As far as monogramming.. I like initials only best or first name + middle name.

Try ikea for the chandelier, I believe they have a few. Also, I like the first one for girls!

I love the yellow and I don't think it's not girlie enough you can definitely add more girlie touches through other decor.
As far as the bumper go I would highly suggest against them. They look cute and make the cribs seem so cozy but several infant deaths have been attributed to them and many states have started banning them. Just my two cents on the matter.
I think your girls are going to have a beautiful nursery! I love the grey with white furniture and chandelier regardless of color choice.

My nursery is painted a navy blue that has a hint of turquoise in it & the closet is a lime green! I'm obsessed! lol So we will mostly have blues, greys & whites with pops of lime green!

Check out bacatis line of bedding I found bed set at walmart. Com I did gray an white theme then adding the bright pink stuff. They have all dif types of bedding. An u can get sets without the bumper.

Def the first! And don't bother with the whole set; just but a few sheets and breathable bumpers that March. Everything else is a waste of money. Then you can mix and match with diff brands. Happy planning!
