Cell Free DNA Testing Results

I had cell free DNA testing done about 2 weeks ago and found out my results on Wednesday morning. Everything came back negative, so that is great! The most exciting news is that they were able to find out our babies gender. I am having a girl!!! After two boys(and losing my first little girl), I am so, so excited!! Anyways, just wanted to share my news. Anyone else had cell free DNA testing and found out babies gender? Isn't it so cool to be able to find out so early now? :)
Baby #1: EDD:  5/31/08   DD born sleeping due to severe preeclampsia at 22 weeks 1/26/08
Baby #2: EDD:  4/28/09   DS#1
Baby #3: EDD:  5/26/11   DS#2
Baby #4  EDD:  4/1/2015

    Congratulations! I am calling my insurance Monday to see if they will cover it. I am over 35 so it is suggested, but I was mostly excited to hear that they can now test for gender that early! yay!

    Congrats! I also got my results yesterday and found out it's a girl! I'm so excited! I already have a DS. He kept saying he wanted a sister-hopefully he won't change his mind!

    Congrats everyone ! I just did all the bloodwork on Thursday. 11 vials in total! Excited to find out what we are having. Sounds like lots of girls :)

    I'm still awaiting results. I consider the sex results a bonus for having to undergo the stress of all the additional testing for high risk mommas.

    I got my results a couple of weeks ago and am having a boy -- figured I would chime in to balance out this girl trend!

    Congratulations! I had the Progenity test done and we just got our results back this past Thursday. Everything tested normal, and we're having a little boy :) DH and I are so excited! We would have been happy with any healthy baby, but we were both hoping for a boy.

    I go for my testing on Thursday! I don't remember if finding out the sex early was an option for the kind of test that I am doing. I'm just hoping I don't pass out from all the blood that they are going to need to take.

    They draw blood from your arm. Babie's fetal DNA is in your bloodstream, so they are able to pull it from a regular arm blood draw. It really depends on your insurance and the purpose for testing if it will be covered. I am high risk and advanced maternal age, so doing the testing was reccomended by my OB and my insurance will cover most if not all of the testing. You might want to call your insurance and ask if they cover it before doing it. It can be pretty expensive.

    My test was called "Verify"- which is done by a company called Progenity.
