So, I always make popcorn balls for everyone at halloween. I was thinking I would make some for the daycare teachers. But I also was wanting to maybe make something for the kiddos too. H's room has babys from the time they are mobile up to maybe 1.5 years. I know that not all of them can eat yet but the majority of them can eat table foods. Any neat idea's? I'm kinda stumped.
Re: Halloweens treats for these little ones?
Yea, I was totally going to check with them about food for the kids before I brought anything. I wanted to do something for the teachers though and I know they have treats just for the teachers occasionally.
@rgoblue I totally agree about the sweets thing. That's what is stumping me the most.
I love the idea of a non-food treat. Maybe a pumpkin book for the classroom? My daughter loves "Where Is Baby's Pumpkin?" Or like mentioned above, an empty water bottle filled with orange rice, or orange and green beads, etc.
DD will be getting a Little People Halloween car and DS is getting a stuffed spider. They are both getting Halloween plates, snack containers and socks. I got it all on sale last year. I'll get stuff on sale again this year for next year.
I figure DD will get enough candy at the Trunk or Treats and she doesn't eat it anyways so any candy I buy is all mine. She would rather have fruit.
I agree with the no sweets rule. I'm too tired to scroll back up (tired or lazy...hmmm) and see if I read this correctly, but I think I would be more upset if someone brought sugar free anything for the kids.
