Is anyone using an open cup (no lid) for their LO yet? Saturday Kieran drank from a regular cup and then when there was about an inch left dumped it all over him :-/
Also is anyone using a booster seat instead of a high chair yet? I'm thinking about letting little dude eat at the table with us.

Re: Cups and booster seats
We just recently moved Ally to a booster, but it still has a tray, so she's not right up to the table. I mostly did it because its way easier to clean than the high chair!
We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
At our house we eat at our kitchen island and don't have a table. For a lot of meals he asks to sit on one of the barstools at the island. It scares me though, so I usually stand right next to him for the duration, which doesn't make for a relaxing meal for me. At my parents' he's in a booster on a kitchen chair at the table.

No open cups, that sounds very brave.
We use the booster with the tray that comes off. We havent used the tray in months, she likes to sit at the table. I took her out to eat a few weeks ago and tried the booster that they had there. No dice. She still needs to be strapped in, as she is coo coo bananas.
I was a little hungover yesterday (night before was bff's birthday) so maybe he knew lol?

She's still in her huge high chair, but just yesterday DH mentioned that maybe it's soon time to let her eat at the table with a booster seat. I think the only reason we haven't done it yet is that the tray keeps her from dropping food on her lap, and if there was no tray, I'm sure she'd have food all over herself (we didn't use a tray at my mom's house a few weeks ago and that's what happened).

We are still using sippys or cups with straws+lids at restaurants. She tips the cups all the way back still so she dumps a lot on her. She will be a great anchor for boat races in college.
We have been using the Ingelsina fast hook on our breakfast bar for a few months now. She really hates the high chair. At restaurants we use the high chairs still, I am not comfortable with her in a booster, I keep thinking she will tip over.
He is still in his highchair because he is wild and likes to run everywhere. Occasionally he climbs up on a regular chair so we let him sit there, but then he's up and down the entire meal. I prefer the highchair and he seems to eat better in it so we stick to that.
I just found out this weekend that my mom (who watches DS2 two days a week) only gives him milk in an open cup.
We use sippys or straw cups at home.
