Don't you hate when your OB office drops the ball?

I had a NT scan scheduled for today at 8:30am. So I got myself up by 5:30am and the family ready to go by 7:15. Get there totally filled with water lol and then oh what do you know my OB office forgot to send the referral for approval. Ugh! So now I have to wait to hear back from my OB to see when I can be seen.

I am just peeved when people (the person who should have gotten my referral approved) don't do their job.

Sorry just needed to vent. :ar!

So has your OB office or anyone in your life dropped the ball? Feel free to vent.

I have had that type of thing happen so much when dealing with the medical world, but not with my OB. The ones that ticked me off the most were lab mess ups. I hate getting my blood drawn, fasting, or collecting 24hrs. of pee. So when they lose the sample, or the referal, do the wrong test, etc. it makes me frustrated.

I haven't had any problems with my OB, but one time I was asked to come in for a blood test and they were sooooo slow that day. I swear I waited an hour and the first thing the doctor said to me was "did you eat today?" I had, and apparently I was supposed to fast but no one told me. I have never had that type of blood test done before, nor known anyone who had and told me about it. I didn't know I was supposed to fast. >:P

Just minor things. A lot of things bothered me at the end of my last pregnancy. Not having me in the computer for appointments. So always always bring the card they give you, and now i always call for my results, and always confirm appointments, because i was sick of it happening.

I was annoyed when I had a 4:15 appointment, which I was going to have to rush like hell to go to, the office called and left me a voicemail at 3 telling me they changed my appointment to 3:45.

30 minutes might not sound like a big deal, but I am a teacher and I have students in front of me until 3:45. If I couldn't get there, they were going to cancel my appointment. I basically dumped my class with the teacher next door and ran out.

That's a bummer. I've been happy with my appts so far. I haven't had a chance to see my OB yet, just a NP and a tech, but they've been great so far.

I haven't had this trouble so far. I go to an awesome midwife practice and they are very good.

It annoyed me when I went for my first appointment with this PG and they had me review my chart. I found under the section "pregnancies" a number 1 and "births" a number 1. Really?!? I'd had 3 PGs before this, the first of which was a missed MC and an OB from your office performed a D&C and the 2nd was a natural loss that required me to have repeat blood draws to be sure the MC was complete. How did those things not make my chart?!

Nothing huge. I had a 10:15 this morning. I finally asked at 10:40 how much longer because I had been sitting there since 10 and literally everyone who checked in sat down and we're taking in within minutes. I guess my midwife was running way late. On one hand I love that I never feel rushed but it's hard when I give my MIL some sort of time frame and it's an hour later. Like I said, not major. Just an annoyance.
