Shopping cart cover

Does anyone have recommendations for shopping cart covers? I did a little research online, and I read that some of them won't fit larger carts such as Target and most wholesale clubs. TIA!

Re: Shopping cart cover

  • I don't really know much about them but I was looking up tutorials yesterday. It seems that the "shower cap" style would be pretty universal.

  • My favorite is one my friend has and got for me as a gift.  It's this one:

Super cushioned/padded, with toys and a little pouch.  Much more padded than others I've seen.
  • We have a Bright Starts cover and I've never had a problem with it not fitting a buggy. I use it for restaurant high chairs as well.

  • Don't buy the JJ Cole one, it's so small and doesn't fit on anything but a high chair. We are going with the itzy ritzy when we get another one.
  • I have a Skip Hop but I haven't used it yet.

Has anyone used one before their LO is sitting up on their own? I want to change over to his covertible car seat but I need to make sure I have a place to put him when going into stores. I've tried baby-wearing but he's not big on it right now (I think introduced him to it too late) and I've never tried it in public.
I've seen a few with an insert that helps keep baby upright. I think maybe Summer Infant makes one.

I read the same thing about the Eddie Bauer ones. We do most of our shopping at a wholesale club so we definitely need a bigger one.

Easiest solution...no cart cover. I guess that's not what you wanted to hear, but I've never had one.
I had to google it and wondered how is this even a thing! I think people are way to paranoid about germs.

ETA I think I have this weeks UO!

  • I've had an Eddie Bauer reversible one from Target for almost 2 yrs. It's been great & I haven't had any problem during it on shopping carts.

  • Never used a cover with either kid. Now I wear dd so my 3 to can ride in the cart

  • Bright start. I love it.
  • We don't use one.  We had the JJ Cole with DS1 and I used it once and hated it.  It was SUCH a pain to stand in the foyer of the store and put it on while juggling baby and then stand in the parking lot to take it off after strapping him back into the car.  If it had been raining?  No way.  We tossed that thing in the Goodwill pile and just used the cart buckles.  Its not too hard to find a cart with good straps and my oldest still loves to be buckled in when we go to the store.
